THERE'S NO OTHER NAME BUT JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH BY WHICH MEN CAN BE SAVED!

The Bible Declares We Can Only Be Saved Through Jesus' Name!
Act 4:10 "let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.
Act 4:11 "This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.'[fn1]
Act 4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Way back when, I was a church-goer and a fairly decent human being. I was just an average everyday person who wanted to be very good - but was certainly not. And nothing I could do seemed to improve my "goodness"!
An artist friend (and co-worker in the ad agency where I was associate partner) spoke often of her 'friend Jesus'. Whereas I had always called Him Jesus Christ, as though Christ were His last name, she simply called Him "Jesus".
She spoke of him so affectionately and intimately and warmly that rather than the conversation turning me off, it intrigued me. I will also confess that it bugged me. I didn't consider her familiar use of His Name in good taste, so it took some time for me to warm up enough to inquire how she came to this relationship with God's Son. I was too worldly sophisticated to know my own unsaved condition!
To make a very long story shorter, through several circumstances and through this very friend, I was led to salvation by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth...the most precious and holy Name of Jesus!
If you, while reading this page, feel a desire well up on the inside of you, don't push it aside. Let it have its perfect work, for it is most usually and probably the work of the Holy Spirit.
Leading me to salvation was quite a task, for several reasons. #1, I didn't see any need to be led to Jesus when I already thought I was saved! #2, I didn't even know what a salvation prayer was because our denomination didn't seem to need such a thing. #3, Being the cynical sophisticate that I was, the very idea of being led in a salvation prayer seemed rather too quaint and old-fashioned for me to yield to such a thing.
Though my friend never forced her beliefs on me, I noticed that she fasted on Wednesdays and at our ad agency, never partook of tobacco, alcohol or off-color stories. She didn't scold or judge. She just quietly withdrew.
That impressed me. I didn't need or want a finger in my face, telling me I should do better. I already knew that! I just need someone who could tell me HOW I could do better!
She did more than that. She didn't tell me how - When I asked her HOW, she told me WHO! She quoted me the verses you read at the top. No other Name by which men can be saved. No other Name but Jesus!
Oh, I know. That's not too popular these days, but it's the truth nonetheless. And because it is Truth, it will stand. It will stand in the face of other religions and stand in the face of unbelief. It will stand true and it will stand strong! God CANNOT lie! Man will tell you that He lies, but inside your own soul, you know better! God cannot and will not lie!
If His Word in the Bible seems to conflict or be in direct opposition to another part, don't be deceived. With prayer and study, you will learn that the Bible is written so supernaturally that only by being born again and receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior can you truly unlock the mysteries of the Bible. I knew, even before my salvation that the Bible is true, cover to cover. I knew it inside myself. Please excuse my coarseness, but I knew it in my 'gut'!
Therefore, I knew that in order to be saved, I needed Jesus! I needed to ask Jesus to come into my heart and save me, and to ask it in His Name, believing that His Name has power!
One scripture says His Name is above every Name that can be named in heaven and on earth, and above and below the earth! Name above ALL Names! Phl 2:9 ...God raised Him up to the heights of heaven and gave Him a name that is above every other name...
As you read this, trust in the Name of Jesus! It is the ONLY Name with power! Trust in the work of His cross! Jesus is the ONLY God who died for you, rose from the dead for you and is alive today - for YOU! Trust in God's plan of salvation! He loved you enough to sacrifice His Son for you! Trust in the only Person who has ever lived without sin, who willingly took on all YOUR sin so that you could be forever free of it!
That Person is JESUS! That Name is JESUS! It's the only Name by which you can receive salvation and go to God's glorious heaven forever!
(This is my own painting of my Lord Jesus Christ! Hope you like it. I once "saw" Him while in prayer - and this is close to what my mind envisioned. More of my paintings of Jesus are farther down on this page, as well as my own rendition of another painting of our Lord.)
IT'S EASY TO BE SAVED!
WANT TO KNOW FOR SURE?
Jesus, I want to know that you are real. Come in to my heart. Forgive me. I believe that You died for me and rose again for me. I believe You are alive now in my heart. Thank You!

NO OTHER NAME BUT JESUS
The Bible Declares It! I Believe It!
One song keeps coming to my mind, "No Sweeter Name than the Name of Jesus...No sweeter Name have I ever known..."And that is SO true! His Name, Jesus' Name! Name above ALL Names, His is the Name to be praised and worshipped and adored. His Name is the sweetest, most precious Name I have ever known!
It's funny when I think that His very Name once held me back from receiving a close relationship with Him. You see, back then, I didn't know the power nor the holiness nor the victory held in His Name. His Name, when you speak of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the only begotten Son of God, His Name is a supernatural word or name by which human beings are transformed. Moreover, I firmly believe the entire universe can be changed by that one word...by that one name!
But, in my pre-born-again days, I thought the Name of Jesus to be a hoaky, quaint, unsophisticated, 'country hick' sort of word that seemed distasteful when someone said it or when I saw it on a sign hanging in a tree by the highway, for once upon a time there were quite a few such signs. Distasteful? Unsophisticated? Hoaky? How dense and dumb could I be?
How could I not know that this one name is higher than any word I would ever know, sweeter than any name I could know, more powerful and more authoratative than any name that has ever been or will ever be!
Just after I was born again, a friend told me to praise the Name of Jesus if I wanted to grow in the Lord. She had no idea how difficult that was for me. I was from a denomination where you didn't raise your hands, you didn't praise aloud; in fact, you even squelched a little cough! It was quiet in that church!
I thought all Christians were quiet, like me! I thought that was the "Holy" way to be, the only way to be!
When I first tried raising my hands, they stuck to my side like glue. It was just too uncomfortable! Nor would the word Jesus come out of my mouth in praise.
My friend said again, "If you want to grow in the Lord, you must praise Him and praise His Name!" She suggested I try it in my car, listening to worship music.
So, while I was out driving - where no one could see me! - I very gingerly and slowly lifted my hands - sort of - kind of - lifted my hands...probably not high enough for anyone else to see (except there was no one to see me). And I kept saying "Jesus" over and over again, though the saying of it sort of stuck in my throat. I was much more comfortable saying, "Jesus Christ"!
A couple of weeks after I had been "stretching" myself in this fashion, I was on the busiest street in my city, pulling up to the busiest intersection.
I wasn't used to hearing the Lord's voice, but I distinctly heard Him ask, "If you are going to praise My Name, why don't you do it now? Or are you ashamed of Me?"
The scripture rushed to my brain where Paul said, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ."
"O-Okay, Lord" I stuttered, "I will!"
And driving up to that full intersection with dozens of cars in every direction, I raised one hand, and when stopped, raised both hands and praised His Name as loud as I could! "Praise the Name of JESUS!!!!" i shouted! "PRAISE THE HOLY NAME OF JESUS!!!"
Something broke in me. Whatever 'spirit' or stronghold that had been preventing me from praising His Name broke at noon that day at that intersection - and I've never again had trouble praising His Name!
So perhaps it is in the doing of it! The speaking it!
The Name of Jesus!
A prayer in itself...."just whisper 'Jesus'"...the song says.
Try it! Just say over and over and over again, "Jesus"...."Jesus"....."Jesus"!
You will surely be blessed!

AT JESUS' NAME, EVERY KNEE WILL BOW
From the Bible, Phillippians, Chapter 2, NASB
Phl 2:5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,Phl 2:6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
Phl 2:7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, {and} being made in the likeness of men.
Phl 2:8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Phl 2:9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
Phl 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Phl 2:11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
