Noni Juice and Dr Neil Solomon

One of the best known Noni Juice proponents is best-selling author Dr Neil Solomon. Critics of the use of Noni Juice are very quick to accuse Dr Solomon of some social misbehaviour. Whether this is true or not (and I have no reason to believe that it is) is irrelevant. Social behaviour has nothing to do with the health benefits of Noni Juice. One of the sad facts in life is that, whenever someone makes a name for themselves, there is always someone else wanting to jump on the media bandwagon by denigrating the achiever.

In my humble opinion, the worst proponents of this are politicians. In democratic societies, no President or Prime Minister can make a public statement without the opposition making critical remarks in the background, even when their criticism is totally unrelated to the topic in hand.

Many University professors just love to publish opposing views on topics, thankfully with less malicious intent. But I would suggest that many traditional medical doctors and alternative medicine practitioners continually "bag" each other with their own self interest at heart. This is very apparent with the use of Noni Juice as described by Dr Solomon.

Pharmaceutical companies sell billions of dollars worth of patented medicines each year. Noni Juice is a natural product and, as such, cannot be patented. Moreover, it is a very effective alternative medicine and is, therefore, a direct threat to traditional medicines. It follows that Noni Juice is not very popular with the pharmaceutical companies and many have a vested interest in creating adverse publicity for Noni Juice producers and Dr Solomon.

Dr Solomon M.D. Ph.D. trained at John Hopkins. He has held a variety of faculty professorship positions in prestigious universities including the John Hopkins School of Medicine. He was Maryland's first Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene and has provided many daily medical commentaries on both television and radio. He has acted as health advisor to Presidents and Governors and wrote a health advice column for the Los Angeles Times Syndicate for 18 years.

I agree with your comments. Naturopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists etc often face derision from the traditional medical profession but the reality is that they often come up with a cure where the medical profession has failed. Different points of view lead to increased universal learning.
