I Miss Peanut Butter Sandwiches

I Miss Peanut Butter
Ever since we found that a family member in our house was highly allergic to peanuts, I have not had a peanut butter sandwich. It is even hard to eat one when I am not home because the residue of the peanut butter stays with you for at least eight hours and that can be dangerous for those with peanut allergies.
I am going to reminisce about peanut butter on this lens. I think I can live through pictures and videos by watching other people make and enjoy something I have loved so much. I have found a few great recipes and a few videos and so on. If you have something to contribute, please feel free to let me know in the comments box at the bottom of this page. Thank You.

- When I was an exchange student in Brazil my aunt came to visit me. She asked me what to bring. I said PEANUT BUTTER! She brought me a HUGE Can of it. I think it was like a gallon. I don't even think it lasted a month. My Brazilian family thought it was so weird but they loved it. Especially on crackers with a little bit of guava paste. YUM! Nothing better though than a PB&J with Grape Jelly or on waffels.

- I can never just eat peanut butter and bread, alone. Either peanut butter and jelly (jam's even better), or peanut butter and banana (even better - peanut butter, banana, and honey!). The best is when PB is in a Reece's Peanut Butter Cup!

- I have been known to eat PG&J with banana sliced into it. I have put potato ships in the sandwich to give it a crunch. I am going to have to try some of these other ones.

- I'm a traditionalist. Peanut butter and Welch's grape jelly is the only way I'll eat it. :)
