NuPhedrine Overview

Let's get real for a minute. Deciding to start a diet and lose weight can be a very difficult decision with many questions. Most that start a diet will fail because of their slow metabolism and stubborn fat deposits that do not respond to normal diet and exercising. They fail because they are forced to give up due to lack of results and motivation. Failing a diet is not only mentally challenging but it could take weeks or months before you can find the motivation to start again. NuPhedrine claims to help boost your metabolism. It also claims to burn 500 more calories a day while suppressing your hunger to make your diet a little more tolerable.

Before we get started let's be very clear. Healthy eating and exercise have been and should still be the first option for any diet. But Realistically, not everyone can lose it the old fashioned way. NuPhedrine is a dietary supplement that if used properly, can give many relief and hope for reaching their target weight. NuPhedrine contains two ingredients, we will discuss in the next section. These ingredients may not be the suitable for everyone so take a look at the health benefits below

Ingredients

This supplement has two ingredients. Hoodia and Advantra-Z. The primary function for Advantra-Z is to boost and enhance the metabolism to promote calorie burning throughout the day. Advantra-Z was said to be the ingredient that replaced ephedrine (which was banned by the FDA due to numerous harmful side effects reported). It has been thoroughly researched and so far has not shown any negative side effects.

The other ingredient is known for its ability to control hunger between meals. There has been several studies performed on this ingredient as well. The most relevant and extensive information can be found at Wikipedia.

Why Appetite Suppression Can Be Dangerous

Consider the following. Everyday we need to eat food in order to survive. The food we eat is broken down by our body for fuel and nutrients. The human body was not designed for weight loss, rather, the human body is created to ration calories and nutrients because in reality, the body doesn't know when the next meal is coming. For arguments sake, let's say you decide to use NuPhedrine. Since it has an appetite suppressant it is inevitable that less food will be eaten throughout the day and at each meal. As this desire to eat goes away it's important to keep in mind that you could be starving your body of nutrients it needs.

That is way it is very important to have a very well thought out meal plan consisting of the perfect blend of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

    @Christie - You posted back in October that you were starting to use Nuphedrine. How is it going? Is there anything you can share with everyone?

    @Ann - Nobody has reported any increase in heart rate or jitters. However, there are some stimulant properties in NuPhedrine so I always tell those that are sensitive to caffeine to be careful and be prepared to send it back to get a refund if needed.

    @Rachel - You should be able to order from the NuPhedrine website. I think they ship worldwide.

    @Dave - Right now there are two FDA approved weight loss medications, Meridia and Orlistat, and one FDA approved over-the-counter diet aid, Alli. I think it's important to note that Nuphedrine is not approved by the FDA for weight loss. Don't really see how this is misleading but thanks for commenting nevertheless.

    the FDA does not "approve" nutritional supplements. You should remove that item from the "Cons" section; it is misleading.

    Just started Nuphedrine today. I'm so excited to see if this helps me on my journey to loose weight. The one effect I've noticed is that I have a lot more energy. Hope it lasts throughout the afternoon until my workout time. I work at a desk all day and it's really difficult to muster up some energy at the end of the day to workout.

    I unfortunately made a really bad mistake last year. I did the Dr. Berstein diet and drastically reduced my calorie intake to around 800 calories per day and had vitamin b shots three times a week. I did end up loosing a lot of weight, but my metabolism suffered as a result and I gained back twice as much as I lost with a 1200 calorie per day diet.

    Hopefully Nuphedrine, exercise and eating right will work to boost my metabolism. I'll keep everyone posted.

    @Ralf - Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I've checked out your lens and it's great that you are also a proponent of eating and exercising first. Supplements should never be the first option :-)

    @Bert - Great feedback. I did have some people comment on the insomnia they felt. I figured it had something to do the stimulant properties found in Nuphedrine. (kind of like drinking a small cup of coffee late in the evening).

    @debbie - thanks for sharing.

    @veronica - thanks for sharing.

    @bonnie - Glad you were able to push through your plateau. Let us know how you're doing.

    @kathy - thanks for sharing.

    I really appreciate the comments everyone. I'll try not to go so long without responding ;-) Keep the great feedback coming everyone!

    I appreciate the fact that you are showing both pros and cons of a product you are endorsing. I am a firm believer in the healthy lifestyle approach, as you may have seen on my lenses. I do agree, however, that supplements are sometimes needed.
    Very informative lens! 5*

    Hey. I apriacate what Catharine had to say but I really can't see how anyone can fail to lose any weight while using Nuphedrine. I've been taking it for two months and have seen a big difference with little effort on my part, however I have also noticed that the weight loss has slowed over time but is still there. I do agree with her on one point though, it had little or no appetite suppressing effect on me whatsoever. Like Kathy I bought mine on E-bay (a much better price than going direct) and have suffered no side effects, except a little insomnia.

    i love this stuff. i have been using it for a month and a half and i have lost 16 pounds. my diet is not drastic - i just eat sensibly and avoid starchy foods and eating carbs after 4pm. i exercise about 3x a week for about 20 to 30 min (which im planning on incresing bc i feel boosts of energy with nuphedrine). and for those who havent had any results, maybe it would be best if they took a harder look at what they are really eating and if they are exercising enough. for those who are, then its important to realize that not everything works for everyone but please do not bad mouth it so much bc this has helped me and my family lose weight and get healthy

    Nuphedrine really works, I have taken it about an hour prior to meals and when I sit down to eat, I virtually have no appetite. It truly supresses your appetite. I have tried a million other diet pills without much luck. I notice the difference in these pills immediately. Highly recommend this for those struggling to supress their appetite and lose weight. I bought mine on Ebay (red/white) no side effects at all, except a little insomnia at first.

    Coleman. It may help you get through your plateau but I wouldn't rely on Nuphedrine alone. To really shake things up I would try the following:

    - Try changing the exercises you do such as the tempo and movements. For example, if you are doing bicep curls, on the "up" motion count three seconds and then 1 second on the way down. That way you are putting a different type of strain on the muscle.

    - If you are doing the same cardio exercises, change that up as well. So instead of the treadmill for 45 minutes, try the elliptical machine for 30 minutes.

    - The most important of all is shifting the type of calories you eat. If you are eating the same food everyday, your body will adapt and burn less calories (our bodies are smart and built to survive). Change the types of foods you eat for a week. If you have been eating clean, you may want to throw in some cheat meals.

    sometimes, all you really need to get over a plateau is to just take a break (like a week or two off). Good luck
