Who's Wearing Nurse Dresses These Days?
Nursing scrubs have become the standard way of dressing oneself when working in the healthcare environment. Long gone are the days of wearing nursing dresses as medical clothing. Or are those days gone? If you look at most of the Asian countries, nurses are wearing dresses in the healthcare workplace. That's not the case here in the United States. But here in America and in most of the western world, for that matter, people like to stand out as individuals. The clothing we wear gives us an opportunity to express ourselves. The expression what's old is new holds true for nurses uniforms. I believe that wearing a nursing uniform dress is making a resurgence. Individuals might choose a nurses dress when they're looking for something different to wear to work. It's traditional/classic appearance actually becomes edgy in a setting where everyone is wearing scrub pants. That coupled with the option to choose other colors than white, makes the nursing dress an appealing option to wear.
