How To Shed Pounds Of Body fat
So what is the differnce between weight loss and body fat loss? Well simpley put weight loss is just anumber on the scales. This number doesn't take into account water, fat, bones, etc - so it really means very little. Body fat loss on the other hand is exactly that - body fat loss. In fact many people who have been successful in trimming down and toning up once they have discovered how to shed pounds of body fat often find they are at the same weight they were when they started their fitness and diet routine.
This is because their muscle mass has increased, which means they burn more calories (body fat) - which means they will see a decrease in their body shape by way of body fat loss. They can tell they have lost body fat because their clothes are much looser, they have taken before and after photographs of themselves or they have kept a record of their measurements. So you see if they did look at the scales they wouldn't be getting an accurate picture of their success.

How To Shed Pounds Of Body fat
Fast Food Outlets!
Fast food outlets are making it harder and harder these days to say no. With all the variety out there and all the upsizing - how is it the entire nation isn't obese? Rather than just 70% ? This is an extremely high number - and what's even worse is that number is made up of not only adults but kids as well.
Fast Food is loaded with fat, salt, preservatives and sugar. Just about the worst you can eat is the fries and the sodas. These days some are actually opting to place nutrition guides on their packaging (such as MacDonald's) which shows some kind of responsibility towards the consumer.
One of the biggest reasons you can't lose body fat is due to these fast food joints and the choices you make. If you must eat there - then make sure you choose grilled fish or chicken meals - or at the very least DON'T upsize!
FACT : Performing weight bearing workouts not only burns calories while your doing them - but your body will continue to burn calories up to 48 hours after your finished! Unlike cardio where the calories you burn only occur during the exercise.
Grocery Shopping!
Grocery shopping is very important when your trying to lose body fat or keep healthy. If you go and take a look at your fridge orcupbard - what foods do you see? If you're not losing body weight and you are trying to, then you most probably have a selection of high processed, high fat foods in your house.
What you shopping list NEEDS to look like is this : fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, lean meat, fish, chicken and eggs. Also include wholegrain foods too - best trick I know is when you go shopping to actually write out your list before you get to the shop - with all these foods I just mentioned - then you are more likely to come out with exactly what you have on your list - and not the other foods that tempt you.
FACT : Eating celery actually burns more calories from digesting it that the actual food itself. There are heaps of other foods out there that do this too such as berries, melons, apricots, cabbage, eggs.
Diet Pills and Supplements!
This is a no no. If you want to be successful at losing body fat and keeping lean then ditch these pills and supplements. If your diet is adequate enough then you won't need any of these at all - in fact the only ones you will be serving if you do purchase them are the companies that make them - making them richer!
Also, as for shakes and meal replacements this is also a no no. You should be eating 5 - 6 healthy nutritious smaller meals a day. Shakes are only a quick fix to the problem. Tell me - if you do lose 'weight' on them - what are you going to do, stay on them for the rest of your life? You don't want to really do that do you?. That's why you need to learn correct nutritional choices by using the right foods, ones that you know you will be able to live with for the rest of your life.
FACT : Eating a completely fat free diet is not healthy. We all need some fat in our diet - and there are fats that are healthy such as extra virgin olive oil. coconut oil and dark chocolate are just a few.
No Body Movement!
Nutrition plays an extemely large part in trying to lose body fat and build muscle - however if you don't move your body - it will take longer to see the results you want. Movement is basically getting up off the couch, staying away from in front of the computer or walking instead of driving - basically doing something physical. You need to get your heart rate up so that you burn adequate calories that will help you lose body fat. There is a list of things you can do towards the end of the lens.
FACT : You don't need to join a gym to lose weight. That's correct - there are hundreds of things you can do - starting today that will help you to lose weight.
Excuses!
Yes - we all make excuses. Here's a list
- I'm too busy - rubbish, if you want this enough you will make yourself unbusy!
- I'm too tired - yes because you're overweight, the sooner you start getting active the less tired you will be
- I can't be bothered - plain laziness never got any one anywhere!
- I'll do it tomorrow - no you won't - do it today!
- I'll start eating better tomorrow - start today and you will feel great tomorrow!
- I don't want to join a gym - who says you have to? There are many ways to get moving without joining a gym, i'll go though this in the latter part of the lens.
- It won't work - of course it won't work - because your not doing anything!!!!! If you keep the habits of what your doing today and don't change - nothing will ever work for you because you won't give it a go. You're only robbing yourself of your potential - nobody else is doing it
FACT : Scales lie! Yes that's right - the best way to judge weight loss is not by scales - rather judge by how well your clothes fit you and also by measuring your self. Muscle weighs more than fat - so at times it can feel like you are losing weight but when you get on the scales they tell a different story. So always better to go by either measurements or how well your clothes fit.

Fitness / Workout Programs On How To Shed Pounds Of Body Fat
FACT : Situps and crunches are the least effective exercises to lose belly fat. Performing these exercises will strengthen your stomach muscles - but will never get rid of the fat above. To get rid of the actual fat you need to perform full body weight bearing workouts - the reason this is because when you use your full body to perform an exercise you are inadvertantly using your abdominals at the same time - hence no need to do 300 sit ups every day!
