Things You Need To Know When Buying a Home Office Printer
The invention of computer doesn't call for the elimination of printed documents.

With this regard, a printer will surely take its part on your home office business. There are sorts of things to consider when choosing the right and appropriate printer for you and your job type. And that leads you to the question: "What should you know when buying a home office printer?"
First is the quality. On whatever you wish to buy, quality is the first factor that contributes to your decision of buying. This same rule applies to buying a home office printer. Look for the home office printer's dots per inch (dpi). Dpi refers to the number of dots that will fit on a single line one inch long.
The higher the dpi, the better is the resolution of your home office printer. High dpi is appropriate if you used to print pictures on any type of paper. So, if you are longing for a better picture quality, a 1200 x 1200 dpi is what you needed.
Aside from quality, the type of home office printer such as an ink or a laser printer is also a very important concern when you are buying a home office printer. If you are more on printing pictures aside from texts on your home office business, inkjet or laser printers are the best options.
How does an inkjet printer work?
An inkjet printer sprays small dots of ink on your paper. Black and white or photo quality images can be developed on an inkjet printer. However, the output isn't that easy to determine when it comes to printing sharp images. The quality of the printed image depends on the printer's running speed.Most inkjet printers contain cyan, magenta, and yellow (CMY). Black (K) is produced when these three colors are combined. On the other hand, the appearance of black will be much better if your printer is using two cartridges: a CMY cartridge and a pure black cartridge.
Even so, it will be your best inkjet printer setup if you allot a cartridge for each color. If you do so, you will just be replacing the cartridge that calls for a replacement.
If CMYK printers are for descent-looking photos, an additional light cyan and a light magenta are for professional-looking photos. These types of inkjet printers are good for photos and poor for text. In the end, the quality of your photo may depend on your choice of ink and paper. But cost is intertwined to your choices and wants of course.
How about the printing speed?
Inkjet printers usually print text at the speed of 2-6 pages per minute (ppm). Graphics will take some 2-3 minutes.Certainly, speed will increase with price. Normally, an all-purpose personal printer may cost around $150 and the high-scale one may cost approximately $1500.
On the other hand, a laser printer is still the best guarantor to quality printing. A laser printer uses a CMYK toner to print not just high quality photos but sharp text as well. This type of home office printer prints text and graphics at the speed of 6-8 ppm and 1 ppm, respectively. Typically, a laser printer may only cost you $2000.
The choice on which is better depends on you and your budget.
