- My favorite prank came when a coworker gbought a new radio to listen to while at work. Another coworker crawled behind his desk and unplugged the radio. The owner would bang on the top of his new possession and the guy under the desk would plug it in again. As soon as the owner sat down, the prankster would unplug the power again. this went on for twenty minutes or more.
This was in a large room, and soon all of us were in on the prank, as the radio owner became increasingly frustrated with his new, "defective" radio.

- I'm not much of a prankster, guess that leaves me in the vicarious position. Once my sister told a co-worker that the CEO wanted her to share at a board meeting on April 1st to tell about her position from an on line employee point of view. The co-worker said she couldn't do it, so my sister said to just give the CEO a call, which she new the co-worker would not do. A couple weeks passed of the co-worker saying she couldn't do it and being encouraged that she had the expertise and would do beautifully. Finally, the morning of the day arrived and the co-worker read the "April Fool" note from my sister and was quite relieved. There was no planning in this prank, just a prankster's moment in time.

And I've occasionally pulled occasional stuff, like hanging a co-worker's calendar upside down. Took her two days to notice. Lots of fun!

- Carefully take the label off of an empty two liter plastic bottle without damaging it. Cut an encision large enough to put an ID Card through. Slide the ID Card through the encision you have made. Seal off the encision with clear tape. Place the label back on the bottle making sure to conceal the encision. Fill the bottle with water and freeze it. Leave the bottle on the colleague's desk. The collegue will have to cut off the bottle and unthaw the water to get their ID back.

- What a riot! I've 'witnessed' a variety of pranks in my office in the past -- and hubby did ... and had done to him .... pranks at his place of work! Tried to add one to the plexo above, but it kept wanting me to 'sign in' when I already was! :-)
Anyway, most of our pranks were very funny and detailed -- hubby was always a 'jokester' and I worked with some very creative funny guys -- but some that you listed here were most clever and new to me. What fun! Loved the video of the 'house' built around a co-worker's cubicle. Well done!

One of my co-workers filled another co-worker's desk drawer with water and put in 2 goldfish for Halloween. - I had a bespectacled colleague who used to take off his glasses to go to the toilet to wash his face comes every afternoon. I guess it was to get rid of the feeling of sleepiness. Once, this funny boss of mine just came along and started leaving fingerprints all over his glasses and then quietly walked off.
Needless to say, my colleague came back, put on his glasses and started cursing. He kept looking around to see who would dare do such a thing but everyone pretended to be hard at work while trying not to burst out laughing.

- Well shoot...I have a few dozen. One small shop I worked at dubbed me the king prankster. My specialty was making the last day of an employee's tenure one that he/she would remember for a long time.
The classic~ one kid kept asking me all day what I was going to do to him. I refused to answer each time he asked. By the end of the day, he was a nervous wreck.
"So man, what did you do to me?"
"Jason, I did it all day and it was really nothing"

There's a site that has a bunch of pranks out there too, including some videos. I think my personal favorite is the chia keyboard, just because of the forethought required. You can check them out http://www.whilethebosswasaway.com

- Someone in the office had a woman call in for them. She proceeded to say that she was from HR and that she had a complaint from someone who heard he farting down the aisle and this was against company policy. This person got very irritated and asked me if they should call back to HR and ask to go home because they couldn't help their gas problem. I didn't want to get involved and told them to talk to the manager on duty. The manager told them to go ahead and go to HR. I said HR was being kind of anal with a laugh. This co-worker went to HR only to find out that no one called from HR. He was stunned. All of us were crying we were laughing so hard. Then he saw the humor in it all.

- I enjoyed this lens....and am delighted to see that you are spotlighting the best show on television, today...The Office. I began watching it after coming across the DVD at the library. The first couple episodes made me so uncomfortable, I almost felt as though I were actually going to an office. I almost called in sick after the second episode....but fortunately, I hung in and was hooked by the end of Ep 3. Rolling this funny lens to four funny ones of my own.

- This lens is always just ahead of my lens in the Squidoo rankings so I would really like to hate this lens. But gosh darn I can't - it's just too darn funny. Could you make it less funny? Perhaps a little less appealing? Consider it a prank on yourself - yeah, that I'll work!

- Try this... if someone (you have to be friends with them) is on the phone (hopefully a business call), go up behind them and give them and poke their ribs. They'll suddenly squirm as they're probably ticklish, probably start laughing cause it's caught them off guard, and will be forced to carry on conversation eventhough they want to break out in laughter.

- I had one that backfired on me. As a teenager I was working in the shipping department at a disk manufacturer. I put ink in a co-workers tape dispensing machine just before lunch. During lunch the CEO of the company was packing something personal and used the tape dispenser that I had put the ink in. Luckily no one ratted me out at the time and no one saw a thing of course.

- A young man applied for a job in another department and was duly offered the job. He had no idea it was a hellish department with a long hours culture and an awful boss till we enlightened him and he turned it down. A week or two later we put together a letter supposedly from HR sending him on secondment to the department on a lower salary than he had been offered for the job previously. He was in quite a state. We signed it from HT Swallow, Personnel Department.

- I used to work in an office where pranks were routine. One that I remember, we had a guy who bought a horse and was learning to ride. He was kind of full of himself, so a few of us decided to have some fun with him. We went to the office of a city department that was responsible for running winter fairs which were annual events that included equestrian demonstrations. We "borrowed" some letterhead and sent this guy a letter asking him if he would do a demonstration at the Winter Fair. He fell for it and we had some good fun before he figured it out.

- One of our guys rearranged an old keyboard, and replaced someone's keyboard with it. Another computer one I have seen for those working in open plan offices with facing workstations is to swap your mouse plug with theirs. Clear your desktop so they cannot click anything that might break, then reproduce their mouse movements for a while. Every now and again, introduce a glitch, or random swirly movement.

- I had apple juice in a container in the fridge when I was pregnant. A coworker and I worked together to convince a squeamish colleague that the liquid was my urine because I had a doctor's visit that afternoon and they wanted my first urine of the day for testing. We explained this to him as he was taking his lunch out of the mini fridge, and he turned pale.
At another place I worked, there was a slice of play-food pickle that made the rounds mysteriously into different peoples' pockets and purses. It was the Mystery Pickle.

- My boss was in the habbit of setting out stuffed animals on her desk. She had a differen one for each holiday, and it so happened at the time of the prank she had Lamb Chop.
I organized a kidnapping. It started out small, a few pictures and ransome notes. Soon the word spread about the kidnapping.
To make a long story short 8 hours later she found Lamb Chop gagged blind folded and with a cigarette in its mouth in the storage bin.
We have a large office and our Office Manager was in on it as well as accounting and several other departments. One of the ransome notes was a box of rasinetts with a note that said "Mommy, help they are scaring the crap out of me".

- This has GOT to be one of the most funny lenses that I have ever seen! Reading this stuff reminds me of the time that someone almost sabotaged my husband's business (can vending machines). It seems that someone was able to get a hold of an extra key to open one of the vending machines at a particular business. This character cleaned up at night and would take time to rearrange the cans in the machine so that no matter which can of soda you selected, you always got the wrong one! Some people simply have too much time on their hands...

- Years ago when computer security was lower and people didn't need passwords to log in, when people went out to lunch we would run a program on their workstation that looked just like the login screen. When they came back they would try to log in, and the computer would display messages "Invalid Password, "System Busy Try Again Later" etc. Every time they pressed Enter they got another message, and the computer would get more irrate, finally telling them " Look I Told You To Leave Me Alone - I'm Busy" (or worse!). Finally, the program we ran would log them off, and they would be able to log on normally. The funniest thing was listening to them trying to explain what happened.
