Each of these are less than a few miles from the Gene Snyder Freeway and house stores such as Costco, Kroger, Target, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Old Navy, Dicks Sporting Goods, Office Depot, Home Depot, OfficeMax and the list goes on and on.

Oldham County is one of the top ranked school systems in the state. In Crestwood, the South Oldham Campus has Camden Station Elementary, South Oldham Middle and South Oldham High. Just down the road is the newest school in Crestwood, Kenwood Elementary and across the railroad tracks, the oldest school in Crestwood is getting a huge update and makeover, Crestwood Elementary.

Coming to Oldham County? Need a place to stay?

Would offer you a spot at our house, but with 4 kids it would be tight

So, check out these deals on hotels in Oldham County and East Jefferson County (Louisville). If you are looking at houses in Oldham and want to see some sights in Louisville, I would think about staying on the East/Northeast side of Louisville. It would be a good in between point.

My husband and I are looking to move to a small town when we retire (I grew up on a farm and am tired of the traffic and crowds). We checked out several towns in SC and NC but plan on expanding our search. Kentucky is a possibility.
