A Great Alternative to the Traditional Pink Girl's Room

Olivia, the adorable little pig, created by Ian Falconer, has touched the hearts of millions of children (and grown ups) through the Olivia book series. Olivia is a lovable pig, with style and pizazz. She is all about a love of life, and a desire to experience things.

A children's room with Olivia is a welcomed alternative to the "princess room" that has been so overdone. Not every little girl needs or wants a room that is an explosion of pink. Give your child an Olivia the Pig room!

What to decorate with?

Even width stripes in red & black, red & white, or black & white. You could even go for a little zebra print.
Polka dots in red & black, red & white, or black & white.
Solid Colors: red, black, white
Accents of bright blue, or green (her pajamas in the Christmas book)
Anything made with Olivia fabrics

This is wonderful! My husband and I are 5 months pregnant and when we were three weeks he started calling her pig pig cause we didnt want to say "the baby" or "it". We picked out Olivia Grace for her name a month ago and I just found this website!!!! Now we know how to decorate her room. I think my husband is more excited :)

We are looking forward to doing our Olivia's room in the near future.....what is even funnier is that as a baby, her daddy gave her the nickname "piggy" and then she began her collection of piggy banks......so when she discovered the Olivia the Pig collection......she JUST knew someone was writing about her......
