The Olympus Tough Stylus 6010 is a Stylish, Well Designed, Take Anywhere Camera
The Olympus Tough Stylus 6010 is a rugged digital waterproof shockproof camera suitable for activities with the family. It is compact, sturdy and can be taken almost anywhere. Launched some 6 months after the Olympus Tough Stylus 6000, the main difference is an incremental upgrade from a 10MP to a 12MP sensor. Its rugged nature means that it can also double up as a tough waterproof kids camera, making it suitable to use practically anywhere from home to the playground, at the beach, skiing or rolling in the mud. It is also stylish in design and comes in distinctive colors; tough cameras can be cool and don't need to be big, bulky bricks. The Olympus Tough Stylus 6010's main competitors would be the waterproof Pentax digital camera Optio W80, Panasonic digital Waterproof Lumix TS1 / FT1 and the Canon waterproof D10. Another to consider is its even tougher stable mate, the Olympus Tough Stylus 8000.
Please note that the Olympus Tough Stylus 6010 is available in Europe; a US version is expected to follow. The current US model is the Olympus Tough Stylus 6000.
