What is Online Identity Theft?

Online Identity Theft occurs when someone steals your Personal Information, such as your Name, Social Security Number or other personal info. to open Fraudelent Accounts or to make Fraudulent Purchases.

E-mail Phishing is a common way Identity Thieves try to steal your Personal Information. E-mail Phishing occurs when thieves send you Fraudulent emails stating they are a legitimate business that need your personal information. These are Identity Theft Scams.  

What can I do to Protect Myself from Online Identity Theft? 

Always Make sure the person you are sharing your personal information is legitimate. Always make sure how they are going to protect and secure your information.
Never fall victim to phishing emails. If it sounds to good to be true most likely that's exactly what it is, Not True. These are just thieves trying to steal your Identity.
