Beginning Guitarists...Please Read.. You WILL Succeed
I have been a guitar player for the last 17 years. Back in the day before the internet I was lucky enough to be given professional guitar lessons from qualified teachers and was often nutured from my family to practice and improve my musical abliity.
After years of dedication to the instrument I now help others on a daily basis to help achieve their guitar playing goals...
All too often I have seen people give up because its too hard.
Let me tell you something... playing the guitar IS hard.
But it is not impossible...obstacles in guitar playing are easy to easy to overcome if you know what to do.

What does being a "good" Guitar player actually mean?
What is good? well... good means different things to different people.
Does good mean being able to shred and play solos at a blisteringly fast speed? It might to many people who play heavy metal guitar.
Does good mean being able to play in any key at any moment and improvise using modes in Jazz? Yes.. If you are a jazz player.
When someone says that they are good at guitar, it usually means they are good in a specific area of guitar playing.. I am HOPELESS at playing heavy metal, but i am exceptionally good at jazz improvisation and finger picking individual notes.
But generally speaking... Being good at the guitar really means being able to play the music you like and playing at a fairly proficient level.
It also means that you understand music theory and how the guitar fretboard is laid out and connected up.
Once you understand these concepts you are well on the way to becomming a great player no matter what musical area you want to specialise in.
