BEST Oregon jazz music workshop

The Mel Brown Summer Jazz Workshop is a music festival summer camp suited to the needs of developing musicians. From all over the state and country, teens flock to Western Oregon University to attend the Oregon jazz music workshop, located in Monmouth, Oregon. Developing musicians are challenged to grow at the week-long Oregon summer camp, while having fun at concerts, in workshops, and in jam sessions.

Talented faculty provide individualized instrument instruction for drums, guitar, trombone, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, keyboards, trumpet, bass, and piano. Technical aspects, such as sound mixing and MIDI recording, are also addressed. Throughout the week, concerts give attendees the opportunity not only to hear professionals play, but also to perform in this Oregon jazz music workshop.

Flexible plans exist for the whole spectrum of musicians, commuters, residents, first-timers, and returners will all find something special at this Oregon jazz music workshop. While ensuring that group interaction remains a part of the experience, the jazz camp focuses on providing an atmosphere that is unique for each attendee. Some people came to this camp in search of a basic jazz introduction, and while this is supplied, those who are already familiar with it will be able to take far more away."
