Origin of Money - Where did it all begin
Where did the idea or concept of money originate? That is what this lens is setting out to find out.
First there was the idea of an exchange.
"Money" has therefore been used way before cash and coinage came into being. With cash and coinage however, people no longer had to carry all their eggs or whatever their "money" was when they wanted to purchase something.
This brings us to what is money. Money, then is a medium that is used as an agreed upon form of exchange. In todays world, however, if one is using something other than cash and coinage to exchange for something else, that is considered bartering.

Love of money, good or bad, or neutral?
In the Bible, it stated that the love of money was the root of all evil. Yet in many places in the bible, it said that God promised riches and that one would be without want. Perhaps it was more about the hows and what people put first in their lives that was being referred to.
When tithes and offerings were first made to God, is was their first fruits that were given. First fruits could be anything, such as the first calf born, the first of the crop that was being harvested. First fruits were considered to be whatever your increase was. So it would be the first fruits of your increase. Leviticus 27:30 "All the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lords; it is holy to the Lord."
These first fruits were then taken to the storehouse. Malaci 3:10 "Bring the full tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house; and thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing."
So the first fruits were taken to the "storehouse" and there was always plenty for God's people. So basically it was a way to ensure that there was enough for everybody.
