How to Have a Disney Vacation on a Budget!
Be budget-wise!
But, follow these fantastic tips and you can have a cheapo Disney holiday.
Tip # 1. First Up - Do it Yourself
You will find the cheapest rates by booking each item separately yourself - air, accommodation, car hire and even theme park tickets.
It is best to book well in advance. It saves you a lot of stress and you can get the best prices that way. The days of leaving everything to the last minute and hope to get a bargain is long gone if you have a young family.
Tip # 2. Rent an Orlando Villa Direct from the Owner

For a family holiday you can't beat a villa for value for money. Rent it direct from the owner and you will cut out the middle man and save even more.
The great majority of vacation rentals within the Disney area are within 5-20 minutes drive of Walt Disney World. There is a villa to suit all needs. Whether you require a condo, a 3 bedroom family home or a 7 bedroom mansion - this is not a problem.
The majority of the thousands of vacation villas are privately owned by families just like yourselves. These families often holiday in the homes as well. So they are fully equipped with all you should need on your Florida holiday.
You will be amazed at the fabulous value for money provided by private vacation rentals. If you book straight from the owner, you can pay less than $100 plus tax per night mid-season for a 3 bedroom family sized luxury home near Disney World. The price can vary according to the amenities in the home, like size of the home, the level of privacy and the distance from Disney World. Prices vary as you would expect, according to whether it is high and peak seasons, mid-season, low season. But is always excellent value. Compare it to separate rooms in a hotel for the family and you can judge for yourself.
Florida vacation rentals can have some seriously luxurious stuff in them. From the sumptious bedroom and lounge furniture to your own private pool. By the way - most of these houses have private pools. From being located in a posh resort to having their own private game room. Full kitchens and laundry areas come as standard without charge. Condos are based in resorts and some holiday homes go as far as having private hot tubs and wireless internet access.
Great Tip: Look for Last Minute Deals, you never know what gems you might find.
Tip # 3. Spend Less on Your Family's Food
Take your own food and drink. If you are taking a charter no frills/flight, you can pay far more than you want to pay for in-flight food and drinks. And you can bet you won't enjoy it.Food can be seriously expensive in the theme parks if you have a tight budget. You get a fully equipped kitchen in your Orlando vacation rental. So make the most of it.
You can eat meals in your Florida Villa and save money. You do not have to cook. You stock fill the refrigerator with food from the Supermarket.
Take snacks and drinks with you from your villa, to the Disney Parks, especially on hot and humid days when your kids need to drink lots of liquids all day long. Freeze drinks in a drinks cooler and take them with you frozen.
You and your family can return to your villa for lunch and a break and go back to the Theme Parks refreshed and fed.
Great Tip: You will not pay again if you make sure that you get a re-entry stamp on the back of your hands before you leave.
If you drive from home to your holiday villa, take a trip to the supermarket before you go. Use your money saving booklets to the limit. Bring your favourite foods from home.
Have breakfast at restaurants that allow kids to eat free. Some restaurants even offer free kid's meals. They advertise this in their windows.
As a treat - visit a Disney restaurant for an 'all you can eat character meals' or on 'themed restaurants'. Don't forget to take those photos for your album!
