Our Daily Bread

I started to incorporate these devotionals into my prayer time. This has been a blessing in my life. If you have a prayer time and are looking for a guide, this little book has done wonders to my prayer time and allowed me to think about being a Christian and what Jesus has called me to do.
I feel that God has called me to write these devotionals down and share them with those who need a word of encouragement or a sense of direction for someone to go through during the course of the day. I would like to gather a following of people who will read "Our Daily Bread" everyday with me. I would also like feedback from others when they read this book. I feel that one lesson a day is best and to try to reflect upon this lesson throughout the day. Remember the Lord stated clearly to give us "Our daily bread" not weekly, monthly or yearly bread when he gave his disciples "The Lord's Prayer." Jesus wants us to focus on one day at time and to do his will for that day.

Marriage God's Way
3-20-10
Lord God, Blessed Trinity you made marriage an institute of your will for the benefit of all. Empower those you have deemed for marriage to prepare for a new life. Empower those with strong marriages to teach those who are just married or plan to be married. Empower the marriage to create a new family, keep the marriage bed sacred and to benefit both partners. Empower those to teach these truths to others. All power, glory and honor is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (Genesis 2: 18-25)

Authentic Beauty
3-19-10
Lord God, Blessed Trinity, help us to look beyond the physical beauty of a person and look into their soul. It is only there that true beauty exist. Empower us to seek a life pleasing to you. Empower us to serve others and inspire us to become more like you as our lives progress. Empower us to seek the soul that you given others when judging the true beauty of that person. Empower us to share these truths with others. All honor, glory and praise is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (Proverbs 31: 21-31)
A Good God
3-17-10
Lord God, Blessed Trinity, help us to remember that you are our strength and refuge. Empower us to seek you in all things and go to you when our world seems to fall apart. Help us to read your word, to pray often and seek your will in all that we do. Empower us with the knowledge that you are always with us and you walk with us in all things. Empower us to teach these truths to others. All power, glory and honor is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (Psalm 46)
The Real Hero
3-16-10
Lord God, Blessed Trinity, empower us to remain humble and teachable. Empower us to put you ahead in all things and give your all the glory when we accomplish things, great and small. Empower us to remain small and unnoticed while God is glorified and magnified in our lives. Help us to find ways to glorify God and lead others to him for healing and salvation. Empower us to teach these truths to others. All glory, honor and praise is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (John 3: 22-30)
Last Line of Defense

Lord God, Blessed Trinity,help us to remember that nothing can separate us from your love and your divine protection from the enemies that would destroy us. Empower us to focus on doing your will daily within your power, protection and guidance. Help us to remember nothing happens without your will letting it occur. Unique Privileges

Lord God, Blessed Trinity, empower us to do your will as you adopted children. We now have the privilege of doing your will and spending eternity in Heaven with you. Help us to remember you have given us gifts and talents to be used in your kingdom. Empower us to serve others. Keep us from becoming complacent when it comes from serving God and spreading the gospel. Empower us to share these truths to others. All power, glory and honor is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. A Safe pair of Hands

Lord God, there is no hand like yours in keeping us safe, protecting us from temptation and guiding us where you want us to go. Empower us to seek you hands when we stumble and fall, so we can get up and keep on the path that you have set before us. Help us to seek your hands so we can follow your will and do it with your power. Empower us to teach these truths to others. All power, glory and honor is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (Psalm 138)
United Goal

Lord God, Blessed Trinity, empower us to remain united in our churches, our communities, and our homes. In this, we will be able to serve you better and have a better testimony to use to bring others to you. Empower us to keep personality conflicts and trivial differences from dividing us. Empower us to seek common ground where we can unite the church and make it stronger. Empower us to teach these truths to others. All power, glory and honor is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (1 Corinthians 1: 10-17)
God's Mercies

Lord God, Blessed Trinity, help us to remember that your mercy is always there when we stumble and fall. Empower us to seek you mercy and forgiveness when we sin against others and you. Empower us to seek you in all things so we can avoid temptation and do your will. Empower us to teach these truths to others. All power, glory and honor is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (Genesis 32: 3-13)

Lord God, Blessed Trinity, empower us to pray daily, read your word and do your will when you call upon us. Empower us with reminders that keep us on the path you have set before us. Empower us to do these things daily so we don't forget your most vital truths. In this, we can teach others and avoid the temptations that come at us every day. Empower us to develop the fruits of the spirit so that we may grow in knowledge and dependence of you. Empower us to teach these truths to others. Lord God, Blessed Trinity, help us to remember we don't have anything or anyone that you have not provided for us. Help us to remember that you have given us so much as a people and a country. Empower us to remain humble, teachable, and grateful for the provisions you have provided for us. Empower us to seek you in all things so that we remain strong through your power alone. Empower us to remember what you taught us through you commandments and your son, Jesus Christ. Empower us to teach these truths to others. Lord God, Blessed Trinity, empower us to seek you as our personal Lord and Savior on a daily basis. Empower us then to find others lost souls to proclaim your good news and your promises of salvation. Empower us to seek out those who are ready to repent and receive your word and will. Lord God, Blessed Trinity, empower us with hope in our times of loss. Help us to remember that when we lose a faithful member in Christ, that our separation is only temporary. Empower to read the bible daily so that we are not ignorant of your word. Empower us to pray so we are not ignorant of your will. Lord God, Blessed Trinity, empower us to come to you in all things. Empower us through times of grief and sorrow, when the world does not make sense. Empower us with the peace and grace to handle these trials and to give our grief to you. Help us to remember you are in charge. Empower us to go where you ask us to. Help us to pray for wisdom, guidance and direction in our lives. Empower us to teach these truths to others. All power, glory and honor is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (Philippians 4: 4-7)
What Brings Happiness?

Lord God, Blessed Trinity, help us to remember nothing we have on this earth can compare to having a relationship with you. No relationship on this earth is as valuable as the relationship we have with you. Help us to seek your will in all things. In this, we can give you the glory and do your will for our lives. Empower us to seek your wisdom in council in all decisions. Empower us to teach these truths to others. All glory, honor and praise is yours Lord Jesus, Amen. (Ecclesiastes 2: 1-11)
A Mighty Stream

Lord God, Blessed Trinity help us to read your word daily, follow the laws you set before us and to do them willingly. Empower us to promote and dispense your justice when you call on us to do so. Empower us to remember that you have commanded us to follow the laws set by man, yet no law given by man trumps your law. Help us to protect the most innocent among us and give to those who desperately need it. Empower us to follow you will for our lives. All power, glory and honor is yours, Lord Jesus, Amen. (Amos 21-27)
