What Makes A Hero?

A hero is someone who we look up to. It could be a parent, uncle or grandparent. Or even an older sibling. It could be a community leader, or elder. A hero is someone who inspires us. Perhaps it was a teacher who left a lasting impression on our young lives. A hero is someone we aspire to be like. Someone who has made a difference. Or someone who has achieved something extraordinary. A hero might be known to many or to only a few.

Customer review: Loved these boots! My family did a Superman/Woman/Girl theme this year for halloween. Since we would be doing alot of walking for trick or treating, I wanted a boot without a high heel. Found what I was looking for, and then some, in this boot. Since I was going to be "SuperMom," I was a little concerned it might look a little "manly" for me but not at all. I was thrilled with the look and best of all, it was actually COMFORTABLE!!!!! The only down side was, even though they are textured on the sole, they are a little slick underneath. I just glued some fine grit sandpaper on the bottoms and that was no longer a problem. Buy them and enjoy!!!!

This is clever and funny. According to one customer, Navarro L. Parker "Motion Graphics Dude" (San Diego, CA United States) - "If you are a fan of the original Australian Kath & Kim, The Games, or the original The Office, you should love this series! It's a mockumentary that deals with five Aussies as they strive to be awarded "Australian of the Year". In America, it was briefly seen on Sundance Channel as "The Nominees" a couple year ago. It's subtle, brilliant humor that gets funnier as you get to know the characters more and more. And dare I say, you may shed a tear by the end! Highest recommendation!"

    We all need more good heroes. My hubby is my hero. his positive attitude every day - despite his legal blindness - makes him our hero for sure!

    My sons are my heroes. They've chosen to go into public service in their careers and put the interest of others before that of themselves. To me, that's the definition of a hero.
