    Do you know that Dr. Hassan Ragab a former Egyptian ambassador is the one who discovered the way the ancient Egyptians used to make paper from Papyrus plant. This was in 1977

    I've done my fair share of Egyptian paintings although not through the traditional papyrus route I like to age the paper that I paint on first with brushed on tea. Great lens yet again!

    The paintings on Papyrus are quite lovely and most fascinating. I enjoyed reading the history of the paper too. I knew it had been around for a long time but didn't realize as far back as 3000 B.C. Blessed!

    What a beautiful lens with lots of good information. Thumbs up and I'm lens-rolling to a few of my African lenses as well as my lens on estate jewelry: Ancient Egyptian art was very influential in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods.

    I would love to see these! For some reason, the painting photos aren't loading from AllPosters right now. There's a link to the "COOL THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PAPYRUS" AllPosters image, but the image isn't displaying. Wonder if it's an AllPosters thing? Hm.

    Nicely done - I learned a few things about Papyrus that I didn't know about. Beautiful paintings too. I have Papyrus painting given to me by one of my ex-colleagues (married to an Egyptian) when I lived in the Middle East. Great job with this lens!
