The PEPY Ride
PEPY offers volunteer adventures for those looking to give-back while they travel. PEPY is not for those who are looking for a pre-packaged tour. We have no mold, as each tour is as unique as the participants who join us. We have had people on our tours from ages 8-70 coming from nearly 20 countries around the world. Our trips take you to the main attractions of a place, the "must-see" listings in your guide book, but they also highlight areas which are not listed in any book, and never will be. They take you to real place with real people who will have a real impact on your experience. PEPY takes you to rural areas where people LIVE. Why visit a place and only see the main tourist hub? PEPY gets you OUT of the cities and lets you DO meaning activities.
All About PEPY
PEPY's development programs range from building schools and literacy programs to providing bikes to students in rural areas. Our educational, health, and environmental initiatives are supported through the volunteer efforts and funds raised from our tourism program. This hybrid model provides sustainability and accountability to our programs.
PEPY Tours combine adventure travel with hands-on volunteer projects. Our adventure voluntours in Cambodia range from environmental education bike treks to volunteer projects such as rainwater collection unit building at rural schools. Cambodia is known as the home of Angkor Wat, but the Cambodian countryside is also home to palm tree dotted landscapes, welcoming villages, and endless roads of smiles. Experience a PEPY Tour and have a chance to "Go where your money goes."TM Participants travel through Cambodia's hidden rural towns and volunteer with the people and programs their funding supports.
Recognition: PEPY was the winner of the University of Notre Dame's McCloskey Social Venture Business Plan Competition 2006 and the CIMPA Humanitarian Travel Award 2006. PEPY Tours has recently been nominated as a finalist for the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards! Oh, and this is cool! For two years running, PEPY's work has been recognized by the King Father Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia and he has personally supported the PEPY mission. Thank you King Father!
PEPY is an international non-governmental organization (NGO), registered both in the USA (501(c)3# 20-4739485) and in Cambodia.
