PLR stands for Private Label Rights. Okay, so just what does that mean?

Private Label Rights are rights that come with a product whereby the person who buys the product then has the right to use this product in any way that he desires, including selling it as his own product.

Okay, that is a very simplified explanation and doesn't really tell the whole story. See, not all PLR is the same. Some PLR will only give you certain rights. For example, some PLR will not allow you to sell the material at auction sites. So there are restrictions that may come with the PLR package that you buy.

Okay, so what's the advantage of a PLR package? Why would you even want to buy one? Well, if you're in the info marketing business, there are a lot of advantages. The main one is that it saves you time.

Let me explain.

If you are an Internet marketer who creates his own products, you know that the product creation process is very time consuming. You have to do the research to begin with, and then you have to actually put the product together from scratch. A lot goes into this process.

Well, with PLR material, it cuts out a lot of the work...mostly because the research part has been done for you. That alone can save you a week or more of work.

The problem with PLR, and yes, there is a problem with PLR...several actually...is that not all PLR is the same in quality and ultimately in usability. This makes buying PLR a tricky proposition.

The good news is, there are ways to find out if your PLR is any good or not. I'll get to that a little later.

Another problem is that you really can't use the PLR as it is. You do have to do some rewriting. The problem with rewriting is that a lot of people don't know how to go about it or can't do it quickly. Well, there are easy ways to rewrite PLR. Yes, I'll get to that later as well.

Okay, the really GOOD news is that PLR can be gotten very cheaply and can be turned around quickly to make a nice profit. A friend of mine bought PLR once for under $10 and turned around and made a profit of over $200 from that purchase in a very short time.

Okay, we've established that PLR is a pretty good thing to use IF you use it correctly. But just what are some of the things that you can use PLR for? Well, there are quite a few uses for PLR that I'm going to cover briefly here and then in more detail in later entries.

One use, and probably the simplest, is to use PLR for articles. Article content is basically what makes the Internet go round. Just about any site you go to, you're going to find some kind of written content, unless of course if it's a video site like YouTube. This very article could have been PLR and you would have never known, as long as it was handled the right way.

Another great use for PLR is product creation. Products, especially info products, take an awful long time to create. The research alone can take weeks if not months, depending on the topic itself. By purchasing PLR material to turn into an ebook or some kind of informational product, you can save yourself a ton of time.

Another great use for PLR material is your autoresponder series. Building a list is a must if you're a marketer. The saying that the money is in the list didn't come from a hole in the wall. My personal lists provide me with a nice monthly income. By having PLR material for your autoresponder, it saves you the trouble of having to write up things yourself.

Another great use for PLR material is the free report. Freebies are actually great incentives for getting people into your list. A good quality report can be the perfect lead in for your subscriber to purchase your front end product and maybe even some of your backend products...all of which can be PLR material if you like.

You can even use PLR material to make videos. Think about it. Any written piece of work can be made into a video script. Just get over your fear of appearing in front of the camera and you've got it made.

The above list just scratches the surface. The point is, there are a ton of uses for PLR material. The key is finding material that's good. That's the hard part. But with PLR EXPLOITATION it becomes a lot easier. You'll discover...
