PMS FACTS

- Scientific research has not determined the specific cause of PMS. Nevertheless, PMS is considered to be linked to both hormonal and neuro-psychological factors. The common element between the factors is the blood and its quality.
- PMS is most prevalent among women in their late 20s to early 40s, with at least one child, or with a past history of either postpartum depression or an emotional disorder.
- PMS is estimated to affect 75% of the women during their childrearing years.
- It is determined 5 - 7% of women suffer from the most severe form of PMS.
- As many as 50 - 60% of women with severe PMS also suffer from a mood disorder, such as depression, anxiety, compulsive behaviors, insomnia, and migraines.
- PMS can affect women with normal monthly cycles.
- PMS can occur in women with normal estrogen and progesterone levels.
THE UNDERLYING PROBLEM WITH PMS
COMMON SENSE FOR A COMPLEX CONDITION.
The Underlying Cause:From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, PMS is considered a deficiency condition of the blood and body energy related to the reproductive organs. When the blood quality is weak then all of the organs are not able to perform their job. In particular, your glands are not able to send their messages through hormones in harmony with the rest of the body. In addition, the liver does not filter the blood while the spleen is not optimally moving the blood. When the blood is filtered and transport is in balance with the whole human body then the hormones are communicating, effectively. When the blood becomes sludge or the blood is unfiltered of used blood components then communications between glands is slowed down or non-existent. It is not a matter that your hormones are deficient but rather the hormones are obstructed thus causing the body to be out of sync. When the quality of the blood raises then the reproductive organs increase in their energy. This enhances their function thus alleviating pain and obstruction throughout. Holistically, the whole body improves.
For a remedy to correct the blood pollution, the the spleen and liver must be energized and nourished. When they kick into optimal gear then the blood flows through the arteries, veins, capillaries and organs supplying quality and functional blood. Thus, the body's energy improves, the mood improves, pain ceases, improved sleep follows and so on.
This is a formula that has been developed over many generations of master herbalists until 500 years ago where it remains the most beneficial formulation for this condition. In fact, this formula was handed down to me by my mentor of 50 years experience. I have successfully provided this to my clients over the last 13 years.

FOOD THERAPY: FOR DEFICIENCY OF MULTIPLE CONDITIONS RELATED TO PMS
Nutrition for Quick PMS Restoration
For the serious, determined woman, understanding the PMS condition is not going to correct by depending on a practitioner or a pill, is critical. Though quick relief may be had, the restorative state needs your help if you want complete freedom. Yes, the herb formula will deliver you, but over time, you will be right back to square one, unless you particpate in diet that sustains your balance. Many women do not have any symptoms of PMS. The reason why is that they are eating the right nutrition for their constitution or body type. Look below for the PMS FREE DIET:Women with menstrual imbalance will usually eat an unbalanced diet, not be involved with regular exercize, get out in the sun or strive for emotional balance, There are exceptions but usually one of the pieces are missing that unravels the overall constitution.
FOODS THAT BENEFIT PMS:
Iodine & iron foods: legumes, most veggies, whole grains, microalgae (spirulina, wild blue green, green), Seaweeds (kelp, dulse, hijiki, wakame).
Vitamin C foods: cabbage, bell peppers, broccoli, sprouts, parsley, rose hip tea, tomatoes, citrus fruit, other fruit.
Calcium & zinc: whole grains, legumes, seeds, all veggies
Vitamin A, B foods: green veggies, yellow veggies (carrots, yellow bell pepper, beans).
Protein with DHA / ALA : salmon, tuna, sardine, eel, trout, mackerel, anchovy, butterfish
,
Vitamin E foods: whole grains (wheat, rice, oats, quinoa), sprouts, spinach, dandelion greens, carrot tops, mint, nuts & seeds (filberts, almonds, sunflower), best source is wheat germ and oil.
Weak & Cold Body Type Foods: oats, quinoa, pine nuts, parsnip, butter & black beans, cinnamon, anise, fennels, dried ginger, black peppercorn, molasses, aduki or adzuki beans.
PMS AVOID FOODS:
Alcohol, coffee, tobacco, cold temperature foods, refined foods - sugar, hydrogenated fats (shortening, margarines, polyunsaturated cooking oils), too much fruit or raw food, flurodated water, standard red meat and poultry
Avoid seaweeds and fruit if the constitution is weak and cold. Add foods from the weak and cold body type foods above.
In addition, it is important to avoid heavy physical work, emotional disharmony, extreme hot/cold conditions (keep warm but not too warm), avoid sex during menstruation, oral contraceptives, intrauterine devices..

- I am really greatful for this work here. I used this formula for my severe menstrual cramps and all that comes with it. I had just expected I'd have to live 10 days out of the month in pain. The first thing I noticed was that the pain in my lower abdomen went away in 24 hours. In 3 days my energy returned. Instead of clotting, it was bright red, natural flow. Whereas before, I dreaded and wished it would end;now I hope it continues. The vitality is nothing I have known. Its great to be 50.

- On your comment about cold sores, the underlying conditions in the body is heat coming from either the stomach or liver. The heat rises to the mouth thus causing the mouth and gum sores. The correction for that would be to cool those 2 sources down, For more info go to cold sores
