Vintage Postcards for Sale
The postcard shown on the left is a vintage view of Chatham High Street in the UK - a fascinating, bustling scene of times gone by. That's the delight in collecting old cards - where else could you have a snapshot of your favourite place a hundred years ago, perhaps with an interesting message written on the back by someone sending greetings to a loved one?
WHERE DO WE LIST?
For vintage postcards we have a store on DELCAMPE, the largest site for postcards on the internet. There is a link to our store just a bit further down this page.
In our online store you will find postcards dating back to the very early 1900s. A lot of them are real photo postcards, along with printed cards and some old greetings cards. In addition to the vintage cards, we also stock some 1950s-1970s postcards, which of course, have their own appeal to many collectors, particularly street scenes.
One of the UK postcards currently for sale in our DELCAMPE store (at the time of writing this anyway!) Heswall is in Wirral, NW England and this card was posted in 1907.

We all like taking a peek into the past.... with vintage postcards you can tap into a world that has gone forever; some locations have totally changed, particularly those of streets and town centres.
Interested in vintage postcards? Take a look round our online store at Delcampe and see if there are any of YOUR special place. We cannot guarantee the ones shown here will still be available but you never know!

SOME MORE ABOUT US....
If you are looking for a vintage postcard of YOUR special place, pay us a visit - if we haven't got one, let us know and we will find you one!

TOWYN STATION - VERY OLD POSTCARD OF THE MAIN LINE STATION AT TOWYN, WALES

This postcard is for sale in our Delcampe store.
The station porter posed for the camera - railway stations from the early 1900s are always keenly sought after and this is one of our higher priced vintage postcards. However, our prices in our store range from as little as £1 to £30, with all areas of the world covered.
We send the postcards out within 24 hours of cleared payment - often the same day, if you catch us before the post run! They are sent in board backed envelopes with their own individual plastic sleeves, for ultimate protection and we ship practically worldwide.

Mount Pleasant, Runcorn (Cheshire, UK)
Currently for sale in our Delcampe store - this is a rare real photo postcard from 1913 featuring a long disappeared location in this Cheshire town. Admittedly one of the dearer cards in our store, but in 30 years of postcard collecting I have only ever seen this postcard once!
Main Street, Maryville, Mo. Currently for sale in our Delcampe Store.

Another example of our postcards on Delcampe. Hurry though, it may have sold already! This cards shows an old view of the High School, Italy, Texas.

On Delcampe, we accept online payments by Paypal, or Moneybookers and all cards are sent within 24 hours by air mail.
If you are a UK resident we also accept cheques and postal orders.

This real photo postcard shows "Barron County Hi-Way Dept", Barron, Wisconsin - not postally used but maybe circa 1950s. We cannot guarantee it still being for sale, but thought we would include it here for you to see. Why not check the store out and see?
Another card in our store on DELCAMPE: Children from Orphanage on Beach, Kenosha, Wis.

A couple more samples of our postcards!
(Currently for sale, but obviously we cannot guarantee it!)

Geddington Village, Northamptonshire, UK - posted in 1909. The mark top left is the imprint from a heavy handed Kettering post office worker, hand stamping the card with a single ring postmark!
The Village, Lamlash - Isle of Arran, Scotland

Fascinating village scene from 1906.
Some vintage cards recently sold
"Trafalgar" - village in Fife, Scotland

- There is something really special about old postcards. Any photograph captures a moment in time but postcards often capture the feeling of a place. I even like postcards from the 1970's and 80's as the colour processes were different and this adds to the look and feel much like the colourised black and white postcards.

- Thanks for visiting some of my lenses. I like that you have found a unIque niche to fill. We had an E-bay business for awhile. It was a Iot of work, but I loved it. The pictures are great. You don't realize how much you like a building until it is torn down and all you have are the memories.

- Hey, this is neat! I happened upon your lens from your Lensmaster Lounge signature. It piqued my interest because I've just recently published a postcard-oriented lens myself (a pictorial stroll down memory lane from my Appalachian Trail thru-hike, thanks to my parents saving all of the postcards I sent them as I walked north for six months). I'm lensrolling this lens to that. Very nicely done with wonderful images.
