This is my very first web page I did.
These are the reasons that sparked my interest, and led to the beginning of Physical Physics. I have come along way since this page done in 1996. But as you can see from my thoughts that these statements are all true.

Top 10 Reasons there is a direct correlation between stars and humans

1. We are both carbon based.

The core of a star is carbon, and we are made of carbon.
HYDROGEN

2. We both radiate heat.

It seems funny that we both live off the same principle in which we radiate heat or energy.

3. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Isn't that what they say when we die? A Star is nothing more then ash and dust burning on itself.

4. We both orbit.

We start at home and go about our day and where do we wind up, back at home, you have now completed an orbit.

5. Stars live and die.

7. Why does M16 look like God?

What a majestic view, if only we could open our hearts and our eyes, three pillars, second one is to the right of the bigger one, hey where does Jesus sit? This object is also breeding new stars.

It seems that these people knew more then we know and they put it in plain drawings for us.

9. I saw a bright light and had a peaceful feeling.

When people die this is what they always say, well, gee a star is awful bright and with the proton on proton collision happening I would think that nuclear fission is a pretty peaceful feeling

This is the nuclear fusion process which fuels the Sun and other stars which have core temperatures less than 15 million Kelvin. A reaction cycle yields about 25 MeV of energy.

EAGLE NEBULA
The Eagle Nebula (M16) consists of enormous columns of cool interstellar hydrogen gas and dust that are about 7,000 light-years from Earth (in the constellation Serpens). This star-forming cloud (a stellar nursery) is illuminated by ultraviolet light that is emitted from newborn stars. The columns are called EGG's (Evaporating Gaseous Globules) because the ultraviolet light boils off some of the hydrogen gas (H2), shaping the nebula in a process called photoevaporation. The biggest column is about 1 light-year tall.

Generally speaking, there are two main life cycles for stars, and almost all stars can fit into one or the other. The determining factor for categorizing the star is its mass. Any star less than about three solar masses (one solar mass is the mass of our sun) will spend almost all of its life transiting what is called the "Main Sequence." About 90% of all stars are like this. If a star is above the crucial value of three solar masses when it is born, it will spend much less time on the Main Sequence, have a much shorter life span, and it will die much more violently, creating either a neutron star or black hole.

Globular Clusters

A globular cluster is a spherical collection of stars that orbits a galactic core as a satellite. Globular clusters are very tightly bound by gravity, which gives them their spherical shapes and relatively high stellar densities toward their centers. Globular clusters, which are found in the halo of a galaxy, contain considerably more stars and are much older than the less dense galactic, or open clusters, which are found in the disk.
