Spy on Competitor's PPC Keywords with PPC Web Spy

Review and information about PPC Web Spy, a brand new, free keyword research tool that was just released. PPC Web Spy allows users to swoop through Google and view the Adwords keywords of advertisers. The PPC Web Spy is an add-on to the Firefox browser. I downloaded the add-on, ran it through its paces, and here's what I found.

PPC Web Spy Review

Can you really discover the top keywords your PPC competitors are using?

I joined the throngs who downloaded Brad Callen's new "undermine the competiton" software PPC Web Spy and promptly took it out for a spin.

The results? Mixed, but I'd be crazy not to use it every day. Here's why.

First, the bad. I'm not sure if Brad and the boys understimated the number of people who would be buying their new product, but the first several times I used it, I got a "busy server" error message. And, I continue to get that message off and on. I suspect once usage levels out over time, this will no longer be an issue.

But I'm getting ahead of myself! What is PPC Web Spy and what can it do?
PPC Web Spy is a Firefox add-on that you can toggle on and off from the bottom of the Firefox browser. (If you use the SEO add-on, PPC Web Spy works in a similar toggle manner).

The pretty amazing capabilities of PPC Web Spy is the ability to easily spy on your competitors. With a click (unless the server is having a stroke) you can uncover any Google Adwords advertiser's keywords in only a few seconds!

What next? If you're a smart cookie, you'll use those same keywords to advertise your own product or service.

See It in Action
I took PPC Web Spy for a spin. I arbitrarily picked the keywords "designer shoes" - - (not one of my keywords).

You'll love this.

When I clicked the View Keywords Button (enabled by toggling PPC Web Spy ), I got a pop-up box with a list of the advertiser's top 10 keywords. But that's not all! It also told me the Adwords position for each keyword, the average CPC, the max CPC, the # of clicks per day for each keyword , and the cost per day.

Get this. You can also copy all of that info to your clipboard, with the click of the mouse.

Is all this information worth an occasional "server is busy" message. You bet.
