How to prevent soul corrosion

Soul corrosion is the loss of ideals caused by overexposure to nonsense and irrationality. It is a phenomenon known to occur as frequently as a common cold.

You can take vitamin C daily to reinforce your immune system and improve your defences against colds, but how can you protect yourself against soul corrosion?

Philosophy, taken in daily doses, is the only known effective remedy against soul corrosion. Contrary to vitamin C, the cost of daily philosophy consumption is difficult to estimate.

The price varies from person to person. Some pay it dearly, while others get it cheap. It is, nevertheless, for none of us free.

Time is the only currency accepted for the settlement. A currency that will require you to spare more effort than you are willing to devote. A day lasts the same for us all. For extra time, none is allowed to rob.

Despite such rigidity, we all can welcome philosophy, weekly or daily as it may come, just by dropping other tasks which were not meant to raise our souls above the stars.

Take a break from daily exhaustion and save yourself from soul corrosion. The time you keep to paint your dreams is what brings warmth and colours to all things.
