When you plunk down 400 bucks for the Go which in my case is what I spent, including the screen protectors, travel case, car charger and 2 new release games you expect to be able to play it soon after the unboxing. This was not the case for me. After installing the media go software that includes microsoft netframework 1.0 much more work was ahead.

Microsoft strikes again. the current version of the .net framework is 3.5. When you put 1.0 on your pc it kinda goes nuts telling you about how insecure 1.0 is. the upgrade to 3.5 comes with 2 separate upgrades that require long installs and system restarts after each upgrade. Every time I try to download a game onto my psp from the playstation portable online store it says an error 0x8004850f has occurred. The problem is with my current firmware of 3.80 installed.

If your having this annoying problem you can copy everything off your memory card onto your computer so its not lost. Next re-format the memory card but then choose the restore to factory default option on your PSP.

Once it has finished the re-formating task it should restart. You can then put everything back onto your memory card and will be able to download games you paid for from the psp online store.

I know its a pain but it is reported to work 100% of the time for the gamers with this problem. The Sony support center seems to be slow at addressing this issue?
