- Though different from other South Asian cultures, Pakistanis share the same customs especially with those countries which are heavily populated by the Islamic culture. For one, we know that Muslims have Halal - the Arabic term which means permissible and is commonly used to refer to food. Unlike other cultures, Pakistanis cannot eat pork, they are not allowed to drink alcohol and at several cases, seafood. Because of these restrictions, they need to be very picky with their food.
Because of globalization, so many Pakistanis have migrated to different parts of the world such as the United States, Europe and even in Canada. There are actually a lot of Pakistanis who passed the Canadian Immigration standards and are now living as desi in Toronto.
