Pandora Bracelets

Pandora bracelets originated in Denmark about 30 years ago. They are hugely popular at the present time. Each bracelet reflects the imagination and interests of the wearer. There are hundreds of different beads available to suit the interests and personalities of those fortunate enough to own one of these delightful and beautiful jewellry pieces.
Pandora jewellry is inspired by hope and opportunity.

Pandora in Greek Mythology

The high god Zeus was angry at the Titan Prometheus for stealing fire from the forge of the 'smith' god Hephaistos and giving it to humans to use.
In revenge Zeus asked Hephaistos to make a woman out of clay. Athena brought this woman to life. Aphrodite gave her beauty and Hermes taught her cunning. The gods called her Pandora which means all-gifted.
Pandora was given as a gift to Prometheus's brother Epimetheus who made her his wife. Prometheus warned his brother that he should not accept gifts from the Olympians.
The gods gave Pandora a box to take to Earth with her when she visited with her husband. Pandora in her curiosity opened the box and released into the world many evils, including conflict, disease and disasters. Only Hope remained in the box.

Pandora Bracelets and Anklets

Pandora bracelets originated in Denmark over 30 years ago. The bracelets are made from precious metals such as silver and gold with a unique system of added beads and charms.
Pandora bracelets have a unique threading system. The bracelet is divided into three sections by small threads. Each bead has threads inside, which allow the owner to attach the beads to the bracelet in any order. The beads rotate and move on the bracelet when the wrist is moved.

Each bracelet is unique.

Choose a bracelet or anklet in gold or silver. Then choose the beads and charms that you would like to add. You design your own bracelet. The bracelets are available in a size range from 17cm to 21cm.
Beads and charms are attached by twisting each bead onto the section of the bracelet desired.
Many beads are based on stories from Greek Mythology, with each one unique and having its own story.
The bracelet reflects the imagination and character of the owner.
Some beads are made from Murano glass and embellished with designs of flower, spots, stripes and other patterns. These are my favourite because of the beautiful colours and designs available. Very hard to choose from.
Other beads are made from gold and silver. Clips are used to stop the beads sliding onto the next section of the bracelet and also hide the threads.
Safety beads come with a chain. They are attached at the end of the bracelet for protection against losing the bracelet if it comes undone.
Beads can be moved around and replaced quickly. New designs come out four times per year.

These are my favourite. The colours are beautiful and can be matched to any favourite outfit.
