Yes, systematic desensitization is a technique of cognitive behavioral therapy! I'm so glad you finally found relief!

I am a Hypnotherapist, and you are SO right about the blood sugar! It is the first thing I look for when clients have fears and phobias. You probably did some systematic desensitization, I'm guessing? I just wrote an article on the Fear of Heights which addresses the things you are talking about here.

LouAllensEbook and WendyKrick thank you so very much for stopping by and providing feedback. I have sooo many stories of my experiences over the years with panic disorder, that I think I can easily write a book. My family helped me greatly through the difficult time. Although, I probably drove them nuts (honestly, I'm surprised, THEY didn't end up with panic attacks).

    Again, thank you both.

I used to have panic a few years ago. I didn't realized what it was at first. When I was having an attack I would go deaf and not be able to concentrate on the conversations around me. It was as though I was in a plastic bubble. My chest would ache for days after. This was caused by post tramatic stress. At first I was on some anxiety meds, then I stopped the meds and was able to cure my panic through daily meditation. Loved your lens.
