Paris, France
I began to consider Paris, France home during both visits. There was always a lot to do and see in and around Paris and I took in the side streets with eager expectation as much as the landmarks.

Lenses I Like About Paris, France
The Arc de Triomphe Monument (Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile)
Located at the western end of the Champs-Élysées in the Place Charles de Gaulle (Place de l'Étoile)
During 1967-68, my second year in Paris, I was old enough to take the train from the western suburb where we lived to downtown Paris for sightseeing excursions, walking and riding the metro. I often stopped under this famous triumphal arch that honors all who fought for France and paid my respects at the tomb of an unknown soldier who fought in World War I.
Then, sometimes, I would go shopping.

- My husband and I visited Paris for the first time a couple of years ago...and we definitely plan on going back. The highlight of our stay was climbing the stairs and then taking the elevator up the Eiffel Tower - what a view!
