What are "Demographics"
Demography refers to selected characteristics of population as used in the government, the search of sale or opinion, or the demographic profiles used in such a research. (To note the distinction of demography, see below.) Demography is used generally to include the race, the age, the income, the mobility (in terms of time of voyage to work or numbers vehicles available), the educational achievement, the owner of housing, the statute of employment, and even the place. The distributions of the values in a demographic variable, and through households, are both of interest, as well as the finished time of tendencies. Demography is mainly employed in economic market research. The population trends describe the changes of demography in a population with time. For example, the average age of a population can increase. "Demographics" in the News ~ Updated Daily

Tri City Demographics

Welcome to Benton County/Franklin County Over two-thirds of the residents in Western Washington area are married (70%). This bustling area has a large average household and so is ideal for the growing family. Schools and playgrounds abound, and the topic of conversation over a cup of coffee tends to be about "the kids". Although the burgeoning number of college students and graduates may soon change that! Richland Washington, like Central Washington, has a median family income of $61, 813 in 2000. This is definitely a community of financial security with many of the residents being placed in the "middle-class" bracket. And almost 88% of the households and apartments in the Benton City Washington area are owner occupied. The US Postal Service reports that West Richland Washington and or its surrounding areas may sometimes also be called Hanford Works. When considering a move to Southeast Washington, consider Joe and Colleen Lane. As a 1964 graduate of Kennewick High School and a demographer, I am pleased not only to see that you have a "demographics" website for the Tri-Cities, but also list one of my books (State and Local Population Projectios: Methodology & Analysis, with Stan Smith and Jeff Tayman) on it. Thanks and Best regards from the University of Californai Riverside, where I am a Professor of Sociology.
