Past Life Regression is where a trained therapist helps you access memories of any past lives you may have lived. Some people have lived many past lives. Others are here on our planet for the first time.

Not everyone, no. But the lucky ones remember, and it can be fascinating.

Most people access fragments of memories. These are often specific scenes or events which were important to them.

You were more likely to have been a peasant or a soldier. That's because until very recently society was highly structured, with a tiny number of people at the top holding all the power, and the vast majority existing only to serve them in some way. Widespread democracy and social mobility is a very recent concept.

That doesn't mean your past lives will be uninteresting. It just means that statistically, your chances of having been rich, famous and powerful are very low.

In fact, professional Past Life Regression therapists are highly suspicious when a client regresses to a life as a major historical figure.

Past Life Regression is all about unfinished business in a previous existence.

Perhaps you committed a great wrong and didn't have the chance to put things right. Perhaps a great wrong was done to you and you never had the chance to recover, emotionally or physically.

It's all about strong emotions which were never resolved in that existence. So you carry them with you into your next life. In fact, these emotions can remain with you through many lives until you go back and deal with those emotions.

Any unresolved emotions can cause problems in this life. Typically, a client will seek help for a phobia which has no known cause. Perhaps they have a terrible fear of water. Accessing a past life shows them they died in a shipwreck.

The problem occurred in the past and needs to be dealt with in the past. Once it is, there's no longer a reason for the phobia to exist in this life.

All responsible therapists will add at this point that you need to deal with the obvious first and discover whether any problems are caused by experiences in your present existence.

Now, this is the interesting part about Past Life Regression therapy. You don't need to believe. You just have to accept that it's possible.

With the theory of quantum mechanics suggesting particles can be in two places at the same time, and some scientists arguing that multiple universes exist, who can say for sure that we don't live past lives?
