I tear my shirt open and I patch my shirt shut. My weakness is I DiY too much..

The most well known of all Tee Shirt DiYs. Cut up a few shirts and then sew those cut outs onto another shirt. Pretty simple. Pretty cool. Pretty SLC Punk. You can of course sew them onto anything. Bags, Pants, Jackets. The options are endless. This DiY is of course about sewing onto a Tee Shirt. And as always I make my DiYs vague enough that you can add your own personal touch to it. Be creative! Mix a cute Kitten from a Grandma tee with words from your little bro's Punk rock Tee! I will have a Squidoo up shortly on how to make your own patches if you don't want to cut them out of another shirt. I also created another DiY (also up soon) that includes the shirt you cut up in this DiY. The featured Picture on this DiY also has 'Faux Layers' and a 'laced up' look. Both DiYs on their way. Anywho- without further ado- your DiY.

WHAT YOU NEED::

'tis a checklist of required items

1-LOGO TEES: anywhere from as many as 1 to infinity. Your choice. These are the Tees you will be cutting up.
2-BLANK CANVAS TEE: This tee should be totally blank. No not made out of canvas- this tee is your quote 'Blank Canvas' it can be made from any material you want.
3-THREAD AND NEEDLE: or sewing machine. your choice. each will yield different visual results.
4-SCISSORS: for the cutting of the shirts and the thread.
5-GLUE: either of the spray on sort or the Iron on bondo type. NO OTHER KIND. (optional)

WHAT DO TO::

thou salt follow these rules if thou wishest to make thine threads sublime....

1)First of all you have to decide right now if you want to use the shirt your cutting up for another DiY
-if you ARE: Cut the Logos out of the shirt in Perfect Squares. this way the shirt can be reused in the Framed TEE DiY (coming soon)
-if you AREN'T: Cut wherever the hell you want to. As long as your cutting the Logos out of course.
Ta-da!! you have your Patches
2)Decide how you want the Patches laid out on the shirt. Following the directions on the package, glue the patches where you want them on the shirt.This will not keep the patches on the shirt forever, just long enough to keep them in place so they don't shift while you...
3)Sew the Patches onto the shirt. This can take a lot of Patience and time. How very Zen.
