What is a Lensography

What is a lensography? I hadn't heard that word until I joined Squidoo.I googled the word lensography and came up with a whole lot of references to squidoo lenses and simalar websites. I was hoping that I would come across to a reference on wikipedia but I didn't see one. I did see webistes that mentioned both lensography and wikipedia but that was about it. So I decided to figure out a meaning for myself.
Lensography is an interesting word. If you pick it apart you get two things. A lense and a graph. When I think about a lense I think of an eye glass or a lense for a camera, A lense is something that brings things into focus and makes it clearer.
When one thinks of a graph they usually think of a chart of some sort. Charts are used to organize information. So I suppose if you put it all together a lensography is a chart that organizes the information you want people to have a closer look at.
This is my attempt to give you a closer look at the information that I want the world of squidoo and beyond to see clearly.
