Pay Per Click Services And Traditional SEO - Learn Their Important Differences Here

Pay per click services are a form of online advertising that, not unlike organic SEO, are heavily dependent upon search engines and index ranking. Despite their similarities though, these two things are very different from each other.

Some internet marketers prefer PPC advertising for fast visibility while others prefer the use of organic SEO for lower costs. Whichever side you may be on, it's important for you to understand some of the basics differences between these two forms of online advertising.

The Difference

Here's the bottom line:

Pay per click provides you with increased visibility but at the expense of paying for your position on the search index. In many ways, PPC visibility is all about buying your way to the top. Conversion and return on investment are two completely different matters though.

On the other hand, an organic SEO campaign will not cost you a lot of money throughout the duration of your entire campaign. It will however, require you to work very hard to get a higher rank on the search index and that is going to take up a lot of working hours and a little trial and error.

Testing Ground

Contrary to what some people may think, pay per click services and traditional organic SEO do not always have to fight with each other. Pay per click for example, can be used as a low risk testing ground if you're interested in working with pay per impressions or organic SEO.

How?

PPC provides advertisers the chance to test out different keywords variations, titles and descriptions. Pay per click advertising also allow you to figure out how and why people search for certain keywords and what makes them decide to buy.
This knowledge will allow you to anticipate their search patterns which, in turn will help you figure out what kind of keywords you'll need to target in order to get your customers to visit your site in organic SEO.

The best part of using your pay per click as a testing ground is that there is no danger of you getting slapped with a PR0 penalty by Google if you are doing something that they do not like. This way, you will be able to go into SEO with more in depth knowledge of how your niche's market works from the ground up.

How They Affect Your Customers

The truth of the matter is that some people click on pay per clicks to find the products they want while others use the results of the search engines. So working with either organic SEO or PPC will also mean getting customers with certain personalities.
The only difference between the two is how often your ads or listings end up on each one of potential customer's screens. The more you appear to your customers the better your chances of getting them to buy from you.

An advantage of using pay per click services over organic SEO is that the former is more time sensitive than the latter. Now what do we mean when we say time sensitive?

As you may know, markets fluctuate according to the different times of the year. This is especially true when holidays are involved. Christmas, New Years Eve, Valentines, Easter, etc%u2026 influence on how customers buy and many advertisers are apt to run time sensitive events in order to take advantage of the opportunities.

It's one of organic SEO's handicaps that isn't time sensitive. This is because SERP (Search Engine Results Page) listings have to fight to constantly compete for the highest rank on the search engines. In contrast, PPC advertisers claim that their ads are more consistent in delivering returns throughout the entire year than organic SEO.

Regardless of what your opinion on pay per click may be, there are people who will always go with paid listings and there will also be those who prefer SERP (Search Engine Results Page). For more on how to succeed in pay per click management, visit this link.
