You Don't Have To Go Nuts Trying To Install A Working PayPal Button!
If you are at the Paypal Button Stage you may not need this offer! If you DO need what this offer OFFERS, it could be the BEST OFFER you ever came across.
This lens, brought to you by Riley West at Making An Internet Marketer, is going to start you at the beginning and take you to the end of the Paypal Buy Now Button Creation Process.
The day I finally "got it" was nothing short of a miracle. Now I could get PAID! And I did, too!

I learned to create and install PayPal Buy Now Buttons the hard way. The three day ordeal included Cussing (that's swearing in Montana). Also included was the worst help I ever had the bad luck to encounter when I called the help line at PayPal.
That night I was driven to drink beer in mass quantities and watch re-runs on an old TV.
The next morning I woke up with an unusually high sense of optimism, and, sure enough, I had it! "It" even included solving the PayPal mystery of sending your customer to the download page for their digitally delivered e- goods after they are through paying.
It gives me a real kick to show you this step by step, Create and Install Paypal Buy Now Button process! I know this will save you a TON of trouble and allow you to move straight ahead to your next seemingly impossible task. That would be actually selling something!
Imagine seeing money go into your PayPal account instead of the other direction! THAT feels good! Question is...are you ready to get paid?
That's Internet Marketing and Here's to your success,

You Can Put A PayPal Button On Your Page!
But It Isn't All You Need!

If you are interested in selling online? Maybe making some money?
A paypal button is a GREAT bit of infrastructure but what you really need to sell online is...
1. An Offer - A Good One! And
2. Traffic to the offer that WANTS to buy the offer!
THAT is the secret to success. I learned how to do this at...
The Keyword Academy may not be the fastest route to Internet Marketing Success, but it may well be the SUREST WAY!
And, you might be interested in A FREE Squidoo Site that gets FREE TRAFFIC via the search engines. I bought Pot Pie Girl's Ebook called One Week Marketing and, sure enough, in the first week I had two Squidoo sites indexed in Google and receiving traffic. Two sales were made the first week! All I did was follow her instructions.
If you had a site that got FREE TRAFFIC to it and you put a decent offer on it, don't you think you could sell something there?

I Think I Might know What You Want!
Is It To Make Money?

Hello Folks:
Making Money on the internet has this ONE THING going for it that most other marketing methods don't have.
This is what "it" is.
"It" is that you can match your offer to your customer. You don't have to try to sell shoes to a line of people that want everything from wheelbarrows to computers. You can make it so that your "lineup of customers" are people who are only interested in shoes!
Think about it. You have shoes for sale. Just outside your door is a line of people who want to buy shoes. Incredible. Real, too.
Think about it. My next post at Making An Internet Marketer - The Blog will cover this deeply since it is one of the prime tenets of Successful Internet Marketing.
Call it the "Don't try to sell something they don't want to your customer" tenet.
Next post title will be "How to get customers that want your offer to come to your offer and buy from you."
Check out the Targeted Traffic blog post at Riley's Famous Blog - Making An Internet Marketer.
If you want a paypal button you want to sell. It's a LOT easier with traffic (customers) that WANT what you are selling.
I'll show you how that's done.

Keywords Are The Key To Sales
There are three kinds of Keywords in Internet Marketing
1. General Keywords. - Generally, general keywords don't represent buyers.
2. Shop and Compare - More buyers but even more lookers.
3. "Buy" keywords - These key phrases are the "keys' to the kingdom.
If You Want A Paypal Button...
You Might Be Ready To Sell Something!! And if you are...

Hello Folks!
When I made this lens It occurred to me that a bunch of you are interested in selling things on the web! Duh!!!
If you have a need for a paypal button then it's highly likely you have an offer you'd like people to see, and, if they like what they see, they can click your button and get it.
If you have never done this before, let me tell you, it is a real thrill. To get paid that is!
But there is something you also have to have or no one will click your button!
That is traffic. People coming to your website. But not just any people.
You see, it won't work if you have a nice offer for towels if the people coming to your site are not interested in towels.
If you want to sell towels you have to "sort" your traffic out into those who want towels and those who don't. This is very doable on the net.
It's also the reason so many merchants have gotten rich. And so many went broke.
It's done by way of "keywords". Keywords are search terms. I avoided keywords at first because I didn't "get it" and it cost me dearly. You don't have to do that.
You can go to The Keyword Academy - where I am - and learn all you need to get what you want.
Do you know what you want? Remember the earlier example?
You want people who are interested in towels coming to your towel site! And this can be done for free. Free and you knowing how.
Go here - find out how. The Keyword Academy. Tell 'em Riley sent you!
Here's a site that makes yours truly (me) money on a regular basis. It was my first one and it is way too complicated. It's a baby. It's only 3 months old.You don't get to learn how to keep it simple at first. It's just the way it is. Click here to go there... Panic Attack Anxiety Cure Dot Com
I learned the way to get the right traffic to it at The Keyword Academy.
But I couldn't have done it without Pot Pie Girl! I know...that's a weird nickname, but this gal is so good at what she does that you don't have to be! Check out One Week Marketing. I did! And I loved it!
One more thing - when you get to The Keyword Academy you are NOT going to find hype and hard to understand info. So, if you like hype, this won't interest you.
One more thing, one more time. To succeed at Making Money On The Web you only need a few things. Mostly that would be an "Offer" and "Traffic"...but the offer does have to have a way to get paid and the traffic has to be interested.
That's Where the Paypal Button comes in!
Thank you and here's to your success!

Create Paypal Buttons
Step By Step Instructions For Installing A Working Paypal Button That Anybody Can Follow! .

I had to write this. It sort of created itself.
After posting this in my blog it became the single biggest traffic draw, day in and month out, on my blog. It was practically shouting at me! So I thought I'd give it some REAL exposure and see what happened.
It all started one day when I decided to put up an offer I had scraped together, run some traffic to it, see if it would sell, and make some money online. Sounds good, right?
Well it did to me.
I hadn't even looked into getting a PayPal button before.
Side Note: There are few things that will make you happier than to get a payment notice!
Set up correctly, the standard PayPal Buy Now Button is very good for you.
You get paid and securely!
A Qualification: you need to have is the ability to know just a little bit about HTML.
HTML is the "code" websites are written in so that the computer can read it and show you a real life "normal" picture, graphic, or text all put together into a web page. Go get it. You don't have to be an expert!
Here's a great little tutorial AND some FREE software that will not only allow you to make a web page but will teach you about HTML. Take it from me. I learned from this and I packaged it up for sale. This is the FREE version!
Just in case you are interested...here is a demo web page/sales page
that explains quite a bit, shows you what "kind" of sales pages I am interested in. (they work!) AND presents you with an optional business opportunity that a lot of my readers are taking me up on.
Thanks!

How To Put The PayPal Button Right Where You Want It!
The Steps To PayPal Button Success
Step One: Go to PayPal - type in your password - and go to your account.
Step Two: You'll now be looking at this...Move to the right and click on "Merchant Services"

Clicking on "Merchant Services" will take you to this screen...

Step Three: Click on the "Buy Now Button"...which will take you to the Create PayPal payment button screen. Which looks like this...

You don't have to fill out everything! I do it just like this so just copy it (except maybe the price). You can get fancier later. For now we just want the basics and we want them to work!
So, that's it for the first section. But there is section 2 and section 3.
In section 2 just select "Save button at PayPal" Everything else...nah!
Then go to section 3. Customize checkout pages
Select no - no - no - and skip the fourth thing to get to the fifth option (The Biggie!)
Why is that so important? Because that is where the customer will go right after paying.
In my case, I sell downloadable products, so I darn well want the correct url for the right download page in the right place and the customer finding it easily!

Now just go down a little further (about 3 inches or 4) and hit "Create Button"

Now the fun starts.
Step Five - The Button Code!
Now You Have Your Paypal Button "Code"
Where You Gonna Put It?

Step Six: Select (copy) the button code - now you have it on your clipboard and you can take it somewhere!
But where? To your web page! I told you. You just GOTTA know a little bit about it!
Get this article of mine called "How I built and uploaded a web page in one easy day". It was my first time ever. And I did it down by the river with my dogs. I used this tutorial and this FREE software.
This is the SAME Tutorial in which I learned the HTML I need for Squidoo!
So, here we are, right at that spot where you want to put a working PayPal button on your page AND you have the correct code for it, INCLUDING you have selected the url for where you want the customer to go after the transaction.
Here we are talking about a web page. I like to think of a web page as a page with two sides.
There's the front side that you want people to view. And there's the back side where the html code is that lets the computer make the normal side for people to look at. So...normal side, code side.
I type the words "Paypal Button" right where I want it to appear on the "Normal" side (The side that looks like you want it to to the viewer). I put the button's code on the "source" side EXACTLY where I find "Paypal Button" in the code. REPLACE "Paypal Button" in the "source" with the button code you got at paypal! This is KEY! Just paste it in there.
Switch back to normal and...there it is! Your paypal button, right where you wanted it, and it works! (well, maybe NOT in your editor) I like to type the words "only $7" or "Just $27) right above the button. Hit save.

Note!!! The next instruction may not work from the html editor you are using. If that's the case, upload the file and try it from there! (if it doesn't work, you have some little teeny typo and you have to go searching for it and fix it!).
Check it by clicking it. It should whisk you right straight to your very first paypal payment page. You're in business!
As a final check you should move through the whole process like a customer would to make sure you go to the right download page and everything is working. If it is, fine, if it isn't fix it. (try again)
Not to worry, any money you pay into your own paypal account is still yours, minus a small fee. If it bugs you...you can go into PayPal and temporarily change the price to one dollar - just don't "forget" to return it to the right price after you have finished testing.
In my experience, if the url you enter in step three is the same as the url you have your download page at...it works.) My motto...trust..but verify.
Now, go get some traffic to that page. But not just any old traffic. Get the kind that wants what you are offering!
Then you really are in business.
Here's to your success,
Riley West - An American Marketer in the Making.

Paypal Buttons Take A Little HTML!
For Control Freaks! It sure makes it easy to make corrections to a web page!

Paypal buttons need a little HTML knowledge but so do Internet Marketers.
I LOVE it that I can repair typos and add text. I LOVE it that I don't have to get someone to do this for me. (control issues? - I don't think so)
Here is some ordinary text typed into Squidoo like always.
Next I'll take that EXACT sentence and apply some HTML code to it.
Here is some ordinary text typed into Squidoo like always.
Here is some ordinary text typed into Squidoo like always.
"
Control the color! Control the Size! Control the Font! That's HTML and HTML is How You Build A Web Page!

"
So we're clear...I could go right up there and correct the spelling of the word "Grammer"!.
Just in case you are interested...here is a demo web page/sales page
that explains quite a bit, shows you what "kind" of sales pages I am interested in. (they work!) AND presents you with an optional business opportunity that a lot of my readers are taking me up on.
I know! I'm starting to repeat myself! I can see your eyes glazing over. I'm getting sleepy.
