How to save on Ebay & Paypal fees

Did you know you can earn cash back with paypal? You can it's very simple really. All you need to do is sign up for the Paypal debit card. Once you have done this you can sign up for the cash back program through paypal.
For the Cash back program you simply have your auctions or store display "Paypal Preferred". Once you've done this you can earn 1% cash back on all signiture purchases with the debit card.
Your business does not have to be an Ebay business to qualify for this benefit:

Now, your probably thinking "How does this save on my fees?". Let me explain how I like to use my Paypal debit card. When I can afford to and I want to buy new stock merchandise I use my debit card and always have them ring it as credit so that I sign the reciept. Big purchases naturally mean bigger savings, so many times I will use the debit card to pay an electric bill or auto insurance. It's like getting a discount on what you pay! And the cash back is usually funded back to your account within hours. Sometimes a day or two but rarely any longer than that.
Using this to your advantage can make up a lot of the cost of fees and overhead!
If your an ebay seller and you've recently been affected by the 'no paper payment' policy then this will really help you to recoup some of those fees.
In addition to this you can also print shipping labels through paypal. This saves a trip to the post office, gas and time.

Ive been using Seller Source Book since 2005. I have never yet been dissappointed. I've only had need of customer support a few times. However, I can say that I recieved help very quickly, effectively and very freindly. In addition my problem was 'really' dealt with on a personal level.

Another referral program that works great for buyers and sellers alike is Big Crumbs. They not only offer savings and cash back for shopping but you get paid for referrals as well. You can post referral links on websites, about me pages, in emails, etc. If your going to shop online this is a must. They offer cash back on ebay purchases as well as over 300 other well known retailers.
If your an ebay store owner you can also register your store with BigCrumbs and drive some additional traffic to your store listings.
Another really great program that has been around a few years with proven success.
Finally getting that extra traffic to your site, store or auctions is to use community forums. My hometown has a city guide website. There is a section for free classifieds as well as business listings. I notice that we get postings from all over the world and sometimes get replies from all over the world. So these are just another little way you can get a little free advertising.
Ebay blogs, reviews and guides are another way to generate a little extra visibility. If people like what they read they will typically check you out on your blog, about me page, etc. This typically will lead them to your items for sell or your store website.
One final little note that didn't really fit in any category above is printer ink! Those of us who print our labels, flyers and packing slips at home go through a lot of ink. As we all know ink is very expensive. Here is what I do and it works great. I know of a few local business who are not allowed to carry out of date printer ink. They also cant send it back because it isn't branded. I usually get it pretty cheap in a huge bulk lot. I'm getting this for the sole purpose of pulling out all of the ink that fits my printer. Then I bundle the rest by type and list them on ebay. So far I havent had one bad cartridge (yet)! Some of my Ink bundles are shown below.


As I said earlier I know there are many other methods out there to be taken advantage of that I have not even listed here. I just wanted to share a few methods that I use that I can honostly say work.

I use my 'me' page for the specific purpose of telling folks who they are shopping with and showing them some of the wonderful benefits that are especially interesting to an ebay shopper or seller.
