The Story of the World's Most Comfortable Pen
Once there was a boy who got in trouble at school . . . so he invented a great new writing instrument!
In 1987, high school student Colin Roche was daydreaming during school detention and playing with a little pen that transformed into a robot. As he rearranged the shape of the pen, he discovered that the robot shape was more comfortable to hold than the pen shape - and an idea was born.
Ten years and many dreams later, Colin teamed up with college classmate and engineer Bobby Ronsse to put the PenAgain in production. After marketing the pen to a number of small retailers, the company's big break came when it landed a trial run with Wal-Mart. Long story short, the rest, as they say, is history.
My Penagain Testimonial
I really do depend on my PenAgain.
I'm Susan52, lensmaster here on Squidoo. I have a problem with chronic tennis elbow and occasional pain from arthritis in my hands. Both of these conditions make it difficult for me to easily grasp small objects.Growing up, I had beautiful handwriting. As I have gotten older and developed the problems in my hand and arm, my handwriting style has declined greatly. About six months ago I found PenAgain. Wow, what a difference a pen makes!
It did take a bit of practice to get used to using, but now I wouldn't be without my PenAgain. My handwriting is as beautiful now as it was before because I can once again control my pen as I write. I no longer have to grasp the pen tightly and, indeed, when I have to use a traditional style pen, I immediately notice how hard I have to grip it just to hold on. How did I ever write like that?
If you do a lot of handwriting or ever suffer from writer's cramp, or if you have a problem with squeezing or pinching the pen when you write, or if your handwriting just needs improvement, I highly recommend that you give the PenAgain a try. Let me know how you like it.

- Susan, too bad you didn't get a picture of you 'penning' your journal entry cursively with this PenAgain! Such a cute little pen -- Squidoo needs to give these out -- orange ones -- as perks for us GS! ;)

- Ah Susan -- you and I must surely have come from the same 'pod' as your likes and interests definitely parallel mine. Take for instance this very lens! I just spotted it today and must tell you that I've been considering this very pen as a possible promotional for our company. Don't know if I can convince the 'guys' though because they are traditional. Hmmm, maybe tell them it's shaped like one of their favorite tools? 5*****

- Ooo--very cool--I love writing my hand but I always have so much to write out that my hand cramps up...plus this looks like it would leave less bobbing out in the air for my cats to pounce on (this always happens with my regular pens).
p.s.--thanks for visiting my lenses and confessing your love of cats--i promise not to tell your dogs ;)

- Interesting lens Susan. I'm a left-hander, and when I first learnt to write with a pen, I used to smudge the ink with my hand - lefties write either under the line of text, or form a sort of claw and write above it. I wonder if the PenAgain could be useful for lefties. Just a thought. :)
