Why you should take more photographs

Ranked #36,459 in Arts & Design, #1,255,841 overall

More pictures! More pictures!

Everybody needs to have great pictures. You need to have images of yourself that you feel really represent you well and that you are proud to show others. Your family and friends want to be able to point to them and say "This is my friend Paul, Here's my grandma, etc." Photographs are one of the things that people often grab as they run out of burning buildings! That's how important they are.

Get your camera out and take more pictures. Candids are great and they are great to post on social networks and to email to friends.

It is also important to engage with professionals who can take your images to another level. A properly trained photographer can use techniques and tools to make you look even better and to truly capture your uniqueness. These images can be preserved on materials and medias that can last a lifetime.

So do both. Take tons of pictures with your friends and enjoy them but also understand the importance of taking pictures with professional visual artists who can provide you with keepsakes that are truly treasures and great investments. Your friends and family will appreciate it for many years.

A little about me

I'm Lonnie Dawkins, a visual artist who works through the medium of photography.

Taking pictures of people is my passion and what I do for a living. Some photographers like taking pictures of landscapes, architecture, animals, plants, etc. and do wonderful work. I do people--individuals, families, children, groups, and corporate executives. I also cover events including parties, conferences, and weddings.

Home is the Washington, DC area including Maryland and Virginia but I am available almost anywhere.
