Where will you go for Spring Break 2011?

In 2009 this was our Spring Break destination, of course at the time my life was pitiful and sad because I had to take research tomes to the beach but at least I got to the beach even if it was with a heavy duty tote to carry all those books to the beach and pool. There is no vacation for the weary graduate student.

In 2010 I didn't have to haul any books because I had just finished taking my Ph.D. qualifying exam -- so I couldn't really relax even if I didn't have to work.

Perdido Key will again be our Spring Break destination in 2011 -- and hopefully this year I will be able to really enjoy it because I will be done with my dissertation although probably not yet a Ph.D. Hopefully I won't have to spend my beach time preparing for that defense!

Big Picture

We will spend a week in a condo on the beach. We have 2 pools and a balcony. Plus we are within walking distance of restaurants. There are lots of fun things to do in the area -- if we get tired of the beach and pool.
