I like mine with mayo sprinkled with S&P then just the basics of BLT Mmmmm :)
  • gatornic15 Apr 3, 2012 @ 2:50 am | delete
I like mine with mayo if I am eating out or I make my own spicy mayo sauce if I am making one at home.

I love my BLT with lots of good quality mayonnaise. Of course, I know that the best way to cook bacon is in the oven. I even wrote about how to do that here on Squidoo. That avocado looks wonderful in the photo above. I bet guacamole would be a good substitute!

I like mine with mustard, bacon, onions and tomatoes. You can keep the mayo & lettuce!

Just Mayo - and not skimpy either. You have wonderful ideas in this lens - and I enjoyed learning all the British English names for bacon. In Chinese Bacon is peigen, pronounced Pay-gun. And yes - it is an approximation of the word bacon. It always makes me think of the word Pagan, and makes me smile. Thanks for the great inspirational lens. Maybe I will have a BLT for lunch??

I like mayo on mine. Your BLT looks so good! I can't wait to try the BOT, that sounds really good too.

You have my mouth watering. Thank you.

Sart with toasted sourdough. A little Hellman's/Best Foods mayo (Definitely not Miracle Whip-type stuff for me. To sweet and icky.) Then romaine lettuce--the crunchy bits near the stem as well as some nice dark green leafyness. Add two or three slices of what the author calls "streaky" bacon (smoked) and done so it's neither fall-apart crisp nor flacid and soft. Occasionally I'll put on a bit of smoked turkey and avocado, but that's a Club Sandwich. Then. the tomato. If it's from the grocery store don't bother. Get one off the vine if you can. Then black pepper and a little bit of seasoned salt. Holy mackerel. i'm hungry now.

I've been a vegetarian for about 17 years, but I've often thought that if I ever eat meat again, I'm going to start with bacon. Yummy lens!
  • Susan52 May 4, 2010 @ 2:36 pm | delete
Definitely mayo. You have made my taste buds water with sheer delight, and when you mentioned the aroma of a great BLT, I really could smell it! Oh, my. I had dinner all planned, but now I have this irresistible longing for a wonderful BLT and I'm starving!
  • purplelady Apr 23, 2010 @ 11:24 am | delete
I have not had my breakfast yet and I was not planning on fixing a BLT; but the pictures on here were just too appetizing. BLTs it is! Updating my bacon lens and will add your bacon lens to the featured lens sidebar widget. 5 BLTs and a featured lens.

I love your work. Nice lens with brilliant use of images. Now I'll have to lensroll it on some of my bread lenses to give the readers some more inspiration. :)

Yet another delicious lens from you, Bev! You have made me hungry on two occasions today, LOL. Beautifully done, as always! (:

Make mine thick with lots of everything on toasted sourdough bread. some fresh picked avocado can be nice, even a bit of turkey clubhouse style is good if there is enough crispy bacon.

My mouth is watering, time to quit Squidooing and buy a BLT. You've made me too hungry to wait and shop for ingredients.
  • CleanerLife Oct 30, 2009 @ 6:35 pm | delete
Great Lens, made me hungry! I must have at least one BLT made from the fresh tomatoes we get from the garden each year, usually more than one!
  • KimGiancaterino Oct 14, 2009 @ 11:27 am | delete
BLT's are my favorite. I'm a vegetarian, so my husband uses a fake bacon for mine. Any bread will do... as long as there's lots of mayo, I'm in heaven! Squid Angel Blessed.
  • Qualitee Oct 13, 2009 @ 4:27 am | delete
    Superb! Brilliant..........I'm out of bacon.

I like mine BLT in white bread, lashings of butter, tomatoes and lettuce (no mayo!) but most importantly I liked it cooked by somebody else

    Mouthwatering lens.
  • Mer Oct 12, 2009 @ 11:38 am | delete
Must have streaky bacon and bread that holds together. Sourdough comes to mind. I like mine a little on the rustic side, meaning that the older I get the more likely I'll break a tooth. (But who cares? It's a BLT!) The lettuce will be Romaine or red leaf because of the nutrient value. If I'm in the mood for crunch it will be the former. A little mayo? Yes, I think so. The next time I have a BLT, I'm going to try it with blue cheese. I'll let you know how it goes. ;)

This is a great example of creating a lens. A tight focus on a particular subject, a selection of modules, 2 perfect and suitable products to spotlight and fabulous photos. Blessed by an Angel today (squidoo.com/october-blessings)

I like mine with crispy bacon, a thick slice of a tomato as big as the bread (not chilled), and leafy lettuce. Throw on some mayo and honey mustard on the bread and then salt and pepper. I just like toasted wheat bread. Dang I'm hungry now!
    Blessed by a Squid Angel.
  • puzzlemaker Oct 9, 2009 @ 8:15 pm | delete
You've got me longing for a BLT. Just a skim of mayo and load it up with all the others. Excellent.
  • Joan4 Oct 9, 2009 @ 5:32 pm | delete
Oh my! Those pictures honestly made my mouth water -- and we just ate dinner! Powerful photos for sure! Great lens idea! We add a little cheese to our BLT's! Blessed by a SquidAngel!

Well, now, you have my mouth watering! And not a bit of bacon in the house - darn. When I started reading I considered myself a purist (sorry) but by the time I finished, I was not so sure! Terrific lens. Will be lensrolling this one, for sure!
  • stargazer00 Oct 9, 2009 @ 2:27 pm | delete
