It's Time For Some Common Sense
The problem is, none of these kinds of diets work long term -- precicely because they are diets.
The only way you can lose weight and keep it off forever is to change some habits, and develop a lifestyle that's not only healthier, but comfortable for YOU.
Why Diets Don't Work
I wonder if you can remember how many times you've started a new diet, determined that this time you were going to stick with it and shed those pounds. And for a while, you do well -- you probably even lose some of the weight. Perhaps you actually reached your goal. You sweated and you sacrificed, and you kept at it until your scale reached those magic numbers you were looking for.
But then what happened?
Before long, your old habits came creeping back, and next thing you knew you'd blown it. You were off the diet and the pounds started coming back fast and furious.
It's easy to blame yourself, and to decide that you're a weight loss failure. After all, the book or plan came with lots of testimonials -- it obviously works. You decide the problem must be with you.
But the fact of the matter is that it probably isn't your fault. If you've followed nearly any of the diets that have been popular in recent years, you've been doomed to fail from the start.
None of these diets have much chance of being successful long term. That's because whatever you're counting, or limiting, or depriving yourself of, is something your body needs.
And when you deny your body the things it needs, it tends to react.
Specifically, it goes into something called "starvation mode." Instead of burning fat, you begin to burn muscle for energy. Your metabolism plummets. And your body begins to hold onto every pound, making losing more weight harder and harder.
It's about this time that your mind starts rebelling against your new "rules," and you begin to desperately crave all the things you've been denying yourself.
This same cycle happens nearly every time, to nearly every dieter. You're not alone by a long shot.
That's why it's estimated that 98% of people who lose weight will gain it back within 2 - 5 years.
Diets simply are not the solution to the weight loss problem.

Steps To End Yo Yo Dieting And Lose That Weight For Good
According to Dr. Scott Olson of GetOffTheYoYo, here is what you need to do to end Yo Yo dieting and lose that weight once and for all!1. Keep your blood sugar in check by:
- eating foods that fall in the low and low-middle range of the Glycemic Index
- eating smaller meals every two hours
- avoiding all grains while you're losing weight, and eating only whole grains (sparingly) after you've reached your goal
- eliminating sugar from your diet
2. Eating meals that are balanced between those that cause an acid or base reaction in your body - usually this means some protein and some veggies or fruit
3. Exercising consistently - whether you can jog a mile, or just walk down your street, the key is get moving! Your activity should be strenuous enough that it becomes difficult, but not impossible, to carry on a conversation
4. Getting your brain on board. There are lots of methods of doing this, but the bottom line is that you must believe that you can succeed, and you must begin to think of yourself as a thin person. Otherwise, you'll find yourself doing things that sabotage your efforts.
5. Finally, get some support! Whether it's from a spouse, a friend, or an online community like the one at GetOffTheYoYo, you need to have someone that will encourage you and hold you accountable until your new habits become second nature.
When you make these 5 steps part of your everyday lifestyle, you can't help but succeed!

- 5* for help that's needed. I, like most, have done the yo-yo thing. Women's bodies just hold onto it all when we starve them, because they want to protect the possible offspring. So we just ruin our metabolism that way, while we further damage it with the worsening of our fat-muscle ratio each round. Your dietary and exercise prescriptions are right on target, as is the critical and often overlooked component of the MIND. What you say and think sends signals to your body that will either help you or hurt you. Thanks for clicking us over to Dr. Scott!

- As bad as WW is, it is significantly better than the other nationally know programs and diets. One in depth study of all programs showed an average of only 15% success after just three years. Many less rigerous studies show only 5% success.
It isn't just the diet, they all don't deliver. Some have beter support programs so they do better, but none get to the underlying cause. Why do we overeat to begin with...
This looks like a pretty smart lens. I like the video!
