A Persian carpet is a large rug, 7 by 10 (6 meters) or larger, that was made in Persia or present day Iran. Some people try to call Indian or Chinese Rugs Persian but that is just not right. Even some reputable sellers try that sleaziness. I took one Cambridge Mass Importer off my Trusted Dealers List for calling Indian rugs Persian. (Hey Chris promise to stop and I might stop telling this story and lay off the child labor too!)
