How to Kickstart Your Personal Development

Welcome To Your Personal Development Journey
I'm making this page about Personal Development because it's my passion. I seek to develop myself always by learning about the things that I believe will not only help me be more efficient in my daily life, but also make my life better for the long-term. I have seen great success for myself but just as importantly I have enjoyed watching and helping the development and successes of others.
My three favorite areas to learn about and discuss are: Health, Wealth, & Relationships. These three encompass almost every aspect of the human condition and no matter who you are, you can probably think of some facet of each area that you would like to improve in your life. i.e. working out more, making more money, meeting that special someone.

3 things you should know about Personal Development
The 3 Top Ways to Improve at ANYTHING and help you in your Personal Development are:
1. Pick what skill/attribute you want to improve and develop and READ as much as you can about it from as many credible sources as you can.
2. Find a friend or somebody you know who is good at the skill/attribute and ask them for advice and possibly mentoring. Repeat this with another friend. And then another.
3. Practice! Practice! Practice! According to the book "Outliers: The Story of Success" by Malcolm Gladwell, it takes approximately 10,000 hours to reach the genius level of realization in a given field. It may sound like a long time, but isn't anything worth attaining also worth working for?

There are many good blogs on Personal Development (including my own personal development blog) and also Steve Pavlina who's popular blog and book I am very impressed by as mentioned below.
Personal Development blogs are extremely helpful resources, not to mention FREE! In my 3 steps mentioned previously, the first step is to READ.
Being aware of all the excellent blogs out there can really give you supplementation of books as great sources of knowledge. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of reading as much personal development material as possible. This allows you to not only stay immersed in the attitudes and mindsets of success but also to continually evolve your thinking to greater and greater levels.

A blog you should follow
I read this blog by Tim Ferriss because he is one of the most ingenious authors and personal development masters I've ever encountered. He becomes proficient in skills and processes in months, weeks, or even days that take most people years to master. His ability to backwards engineer and then streamline the process is uncanny and his book and blog posts are always super informative, eye-opening, and entertaining! He has great posts on speeding up results for learning a language, losing weight, travel, business, investing, outsourcing and much more. As someone who is of the same mindset of constant improvement, exploration, and documentation of life, I get a lot out of Tim Ferriss' blog and it always gets a look in my RSS reader.

Steve Pavlina has written an excellent and informative blog on Personal Development for years and he is someone I highly admire and have learned a lot from. His book is the culmination of his own growth and exceptional knowledge on personal development. I have learned a lot from his blog and his book is no different. He has done a really good job of not rehashing the same old material from his website but sharing a fresh perspective of the principles and ideas that have enabled him to achieve success in each area of his life. I highly recommend his blog and it goes without saying that I also recommend this phenomenal book as well.
