Personalize the Holidays

I love making Holidays a time to remember. This year I am making it personal.

Everyone loves the sight and sound of their own name but it's difficult to find personalized items in the stores.

On the left you can see the Kitty Name Tag we made for my Granddaughter's Halloween outfit. It really made the outfit special.

Great Christmas Ideas

Make it Personal

Everyone loves the sight and sound of their own name but it's difficult to find personalized items in the stores. So I have come up with a few ideas that you might like. In any of these you can etch a name or a slogan or a logo. it's up to you.

I hope my lens will give you some ideas on making this year personal and extra special. The sites where you can find the best deal on kits to make the above items are:

There are also some good sites listed below in my Link List.

My favorite thing about being a mom

I love being a mom because it affords me so very many opportunities to learn new things. I love to create new craft ideas. I have everything I need in my shop to customize every craft that I make so they have that personal touch. My kids work in the shop by my side. My grandson toddles around pushing boxes and pretending to work.

PERSONALIZED FLOWER ARRANGEMENT

Tools: Glass Etching Kit, Vase, Rocks, Floral Block

One of my favorite gifts to give is a Personalized Flower Arrangement.

I buy the short square vases at the dollar store and etch them with the recipients' name or the special occasion - whatever is suitable.

Then I create a special arrangement for them with artificial flowers.

The key to making it look real is to buy quality flowers and to break them off the stalk so that you can treat them the same as you would real flowers.

Stick them into a floral arranging styro-foam block. Put it in the vase and cover with floral rocks.

Now you have a custom gift that will be beautiful all year long.

Just for fun: Books I recommend

So many of the ideas in these books can be made personal by adding the recipient's name or the name of the special event to the item.

Personalized Name Plate

For the Executives in your life

My friends who work in offices love this one.

I etch their name on a glass or metal name plate.

It's super easy. I can make it professional looking or fun.

I can choose the font I want and what it will say.

For instance, I made one for my friend who does a lot of web programming. It had his name in a professional font and then underneath where a title would go it said "Chief Script Monkey". He loved it.

The best price I found was at glass-awards-trophies.com

Custom Stencils

So many uses!!

I have a friend who does interior decorating. She loves to stencil on the walls but making a custom stencil from scratch for each client is so tedious.

This year I am getting her the Stencil Maker Kit so she can make her own stencils in under 15 minutes.

The stencils are long-lasting and can be used for just about any crafting thing you can think of.

I have another friend who owns his own business. I had a custom stencil made with his logo so he can put his logo on anything he desires.
