Personal Trainers - Build a Business Not a Job

Are you tired of working yourself to the bone as a Personal Trainer? Do you find yourself feeling tired and burnt at the end of the day? With all of the passion and enthusiasm you have for your Personal Trainer job, it takes a lot out of you to be at your best. Keeping the masses motivated and in top shape isn't an easy job. On top of training your clients, you have to find the time to keep yourself in shape.

I'm sure you've said on more than one occasion that you wish that there were more hours in a day. In order for you to create a comfortable and steady stream of income, you have to start thinking of yourself as a one person industry rather than just a personal trainer.

Wouldn't it be nice to have weekends off? What about taking a trip around the world? Who hasn't seen themselves behind the wheel of a hot ride? It can all be yours with some simple planning.

In order for you to attain the dreams you have for your life, your personal training business must have multiple streams of income. The days of you relying exclusively on your hourly rate have to become a thing of the past. If you are working under this system, you are limiting your income. Think about it; your potential income is limited to the number of hours in a day. There are only so many hours you can work. Every client should get the best training possible and there is no way to give quality service if you are working yourself to the bone. What happens if you are sick or have to go out of town? It's simple; you don't get paid!

The beauty of being a personal trainer is that you can branch out in many directions. You have a solid understanding of the fitness industry that you can immediately plug into other sources of income.

One great way to boast your income is to use your wealth of knowledge in your favor. You can use your downtime to write about the fitness industry. The demand for fitness writers is incredible. It also allows you to keep current on trends in the industry that you can potentially cash in on.

Providing products to your clients is a fast and easy way to increase your income instantly. Who better than you to show your clients exactly what they need? You know the best fitness gear, the best equipment and the right supplements that will help your clients reach their goals. By finding a quality supplier you can start offering your client list products that they are already buying. The beauty of having products for sale is that you aren't limited to your clients. You can sell them to anyone. When you offer quality products at a good price that allow your clients to reach their goals, it goes a long way toward your business. Their results are your business card. Their success will increase demand for you as a trainer which allows you to raise your hourly rate and your supplement sales will go through the roof.

Having more than one source of income is extremely important if you want to reach your potential as a trainer. The important thing is to work smart not hard. Use your time wisely and make it work for you.

Personal trainers just to have dig deeper into their priorities and schedules to get the most out of it. Some overwork, while others play it too easy. I think the key here is time management and focus. You lose both of these and you're on your way down the line.
