Pet Food Recall Comes As No Surprise
The pet food recall on March 16, 2007 was not the first and would not be the last. The pet food industry remains unregulated and manufacturers had gotten away each time they were caught.
I had always thought that commercial pet food was the best food to feed my dogs... until my vet suspected that it was the possible cause of their persistent skin problems. The only way to confirm his suspicion was to eliminate commercial dog food from their diet and fed them home cooked food only. Sure enough, their problems disappeared for good.
