- My daughter's best friend is wheelchair bound and has a service dog she trained herself. A friend has a miniature pony she takes to a local nursing home and the residents love it. Animals can help in so many ways. Lord Hackerman is beautiful.

I dont have a pet pal myself but may say not yet :-)
But I have witnessed how much a pet means to people who are sad or lonely as they are so loving and faithful.

- Does the dog in the Intro have a name? Just wondering. In Canada, therapy dogs always work with a therapist. There are very few agencies certified to train therapy dogs. There are "pet visitation programs" that people can volunteer with their pets.
