Do Sugar Gliders Make Good Pets?
Sugar gliders can make great pets but there are many things to be considered before deciding to keep one as a pet. Pet sugar gliders require special care and a lot of attention, many owners do not have the required free time to deal with a sugar gliders needs. Pet sugar gliders have a unique diet and are omnivorous, in the wild these marsupials maintain a balanced nutritional diet by feeding on insects, saps from certain tree's, leaves, and sometimes fruits or vegetables. In captivity their diet generally consists of some kind of mixture of protein sources, vitamin supplements, insects, fresh fruits and vegetables. A pet sugar glider can live a very long time (up to 15 years) and one should be properly prepared for the responsibility and educated on sugar glider care.
